We attended a wedding here and its beautiful. The grounds are amazing, the staff are lovely. The only issue is the local taxi firms not wanting to pick up. Prices we were told for drinks would ve expensive but coming from London we didn't pay more then we would at our local. Beautiful day

I was a guest at a wedding here, very good, organised and professional. Rooms were very clean and nice. Food was chefs kiss. Lots of good drink options. All staff were great, especially the young lads behind the bar, very professional and friendly, couldn’t pay them enough! Great day and a fab venue for a wedding. Would definitely recommend.

This house is somewhere I would have enjoyed immensely had I gone for the architecture, the beautiful grounds and the general history. I am sure it would have been a very pleasant day out. As it was, we were attending our son's wedding which made it an entirely different occasion. Based on our experience I would not recommend it as a wedding venue at all. I don't know what they charge but the impression given was that one pays for the location more than anything else. Form over substance in other words. Things did not get off to a good start. On entering the ceremony room we were astonished to discover that our seats had not been reserved for us, moments later and we would have been relegated to the back row. Does no one at Hodsock understand wedding etiquette?
The photographs took ages , as is the norm, and we had been told canapes would be served due to the fact that by then several hours had elapsed since breakfast. A couple of trays did come round but were hardly worth the effort. The room in which we had the main meal was laid out nicely and there was ample room to move between the tables, something which is not always the case in my experience. We had vegetarian/vegan food and it was very good but the portions were rather inadequate. The petit fours never materialised at all.
The bar staff, especially the two young men who were there until the very end, were excellent. Polite and friendly even though they must have been tired by the time they closed.
We stayed in the main house and our room was fine. It's a shame one can't stay there unless attending a wedding. The view from the window was lovely, just as well as we couldn't shut the curtains and only one of the wooden shutters worked. Our main light wasn't working but the side lamps were more than adequate. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. There were adequate supplies of toiletries and the towels were a really good size. The bed was really comfortable and the location was certainly peaceful. Our daughter's room didn't come with a key although that wasn't the problem it would have been in any other hotel as our party had exclusive use of the venue. Breakfast was Ok but there were no side plates or butter knives on the tables. They made it all too obvious they needed us gone as soon as possible. I understand they have to prepare for that day's event and that turning the rooms etc around must be hard work but it just feels like they've made their money from you and now you must be on your way.
In short, had this been a day out or an overnight break away from home I would have rated it more highly. As a wedding venue, I'd select somewhere else.

We married at Hodsock earlier this month. Although there were only 15 people present, we couldn’t have imagined a more magical day.
The whole team at Hodsock were incredible, however, I must give special thanks to Courtney.
That lady deserved a medal for the amount of times we had to amend the guest list and general plans for the day due to ever changing restrictions.
Courtney first showed us around Hodsock and we booked there and then. Friendly, warm and professional throughout.
Calling us on her drive home from work at the end of the day to provide much needed reassurance, to ‘floofing’ my dress before I walked down the aisle.. Courtney was just an absolute gem from start to finish. Nothing, and I mean nothing, was too much trouble.
The grounds were breathtaking and Hodsock provided such a beautiful setting for our photographs.
I can’t recommend Hodsock Priory enough, the perfect wedding venue.

We got married here at the end of October with just 15 guests due to the Covid restrictions!
It was an amazing day, Courtney and the rest of the team made sure our day went smoothly with no problems.
They couldn’t have been more helpful on the run up to the wedding and on the day.
Highly recommend Hodsock Priory as a wedding venue. Truly breathtaking and the photo opportunities in the grounds are just beautiful!

we had our wedding at this beautiful venue last week. After postponing in April due to covid we decided to go ahead in September with reduced numbers. The staff at Hodsock made the whole experience a lot less stressful and supported us the whole way through!
Everything about our day was perfect, amazing service, delicious food and beautiful weather which made the venue and gardens look even more stunning!
I highly recommend Hodsock Priory to everyone.

What a delightful gem, a beautiful place with lovely carpets of snowdrops. Just a short visit this time but I shall definitely be going back to savour it in the summer

Lovely walk through the snowdrops even though it was raining. My second time there and a nice play to go, especially if the weather is better. We finished the walk with hot drinks and some great home made food sold by a gentleman working from a converted horse box. We were able to sit in a giant marquee and enjoy it. The meat pie and the chilli is recommended.

This is still an enchanting woodland walk and gardens with splendid displays of snowdrops and other early spring flowers.
As mentioned in some reviews, the catering and organisation is on a smaller scale than some recent years. The experience has been pulled back to how it was many years ago.
It's still a delightful visit but without the more commercial aspects. Enjoy your bacon bap by the log fire and enjoy nature with its spring flowers.

We visited here in order to do the snowdrop walk. As it was a sunny day there were a considerable number of people enjoying the good weather. We enjoyed the woodland walk and then toured the main garden. Apart from the snowdrops, the garden were unsurprisingly rather boring because very little else was in bloom. We enjoyed the experience, but we saw nothing which would attract us back in future years,

do you serve any vegan food auch as Vegan cake in the cafe? Also do you provide soya or other plant based milk? A group of 6 vegans including myself are thinking of visiting to see the snowdrops.

Hello, we always like to do our best but with our pop-up cafes and tiny field kitchens only in place for 3 weeks each year we have a short menu that meets many but not all dietary requirements. We appreciate you asking us in advance of your visit so we can make something vegan for you and have soya milk available on the day you visit. We are open each day this week upto and including 4th March 2018. Please can you call us to let us know which day your party intends to visit so we are prepared? It's to protect our wildlife. Many visitors bring their dogs and run them in the Park before leaving them safely in their cars and coming into the gardens and the woods.
