I would love to give 0/5 for this place. Please, please stay away! Recieved an invite in the post from them to celebrate bday there, turned up...only to be refused entry as we didnt have enough girls with the guys in my group. We argued, they couldnt argued back but instead they put the men in head locks and whilst another punched him the face! People tried to intervene to this disgusting assault and they got kicked! The door staff are untrained and rude. We are persuing further investigation for this assault and this was all recorded and sent to the local news papers and social media for awareness. Please go enjoy your night in the other womderful places croydon has to offer! My bday was totally ruined! Thanks Club 88! I am not putting the video up but you will be able to find it if you look up club 88 on FB or youtube!

Went here to celebrate my birthday and couldnt of asked for a better experience Staff were easy to communicate with and book for me exactly what I wanted will definatly be returning to celebrate events in the future

This used to be great when Hub was there but now, Club 88 is little more than just a basement.
Not much has been done downstairs. Minimal money has been spent to make it into a great club. The music is ok, mainly playing familiar more so than decent sets.
The drinks are watered down as hell and the current door staff company have staff working for them who are a little OTT with strictness.
Prices for drinks aren’t that bad at least and now that there is little in croydon since Tiger Tiger closed down.... the choice is minimal.

I booked a VIP table for my birthday at Club 88. Me and my friends found that the staff were quite friendly. however we did find that we weren't given the booth that we were shown pictures of because it was given to someone else, this meant that all of my friends couldn't fit into the booth. overall me and my friends had a great night and would definitely go again.

Went to club 88 with a few friends to celebrate leaving school on a Thursday night so expectations were low. However on arrival expectations didn’t even meet the standard expected. The DJs were poor and the atmosphere was mediocre. Only redeeming feature was that we got free entry. Wouldn’t recommend on a weekday or at all.

Wouldnt even waste your time or money on this poor excuse for a club!! The door staff there and i think manager(female) are rude and unprofessional! there rude vile people!!! I heard the doorman with the long hair threaten a boy! Ive seen them manhandling people on several occasions and im pretty sure majority of them are on drugs! Drug test your staff!!!!!!!! And they seem to let any randoms in there!

We had already had a few drinks in the pub and fancied a boogie so used tripadvisor to pick where we should go. It was ten pound each in even though we didnt get there until 0230 and then closed at 0345. On top of this the drink was pretty expensive, considering we had read on other reviews that drinks on Saturdays were cheap.
The music was good but there wasnt that many people there, and of the people that were there, they were very young. We just kept to ourselves, drunk enough not to notice and had the boogie that we wanted.

Been to this club many times, on all three of their nights (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). There's plenty of deals like £2 drinks all night , 2 for 1 cocktails and 4 jager bombs for £10. Great mix of music and people.
Saturday night dress code is a bit strict, proper shoes (no trainers/pumps ect) and smart attire required to get in, but well worth it and the club has a great atmosphere once inside, getting busy from 10/11 onwards.
Definitely worth a visit and by far best club in Croydon.

Hosted mine and my twins 30th birthday in the private function room. Fab location in centre of Croydon. Parking outside. Very professional service. Bar staff were great. Venue was perfect really well furnished and holds up to 100 guests. In particular I would like to thank Josh he was amaz from booking to the night very helpful and willing to go the extra mile! Club 88 highly recommended thanks for making my bday amaz X

My 18 year old daughter is thinking about going to this club (first clubbing experience) with some female friends, is this a good idea ? Any trouble etc...

The club is good for 18-year-olds. I've been there many times and I'm 25+ but my brother who is 19 has also been there and haven't had any problem there.
