Beautiful rose garden and manor house and lake.
Enjoy the place, don't rush and look at the variety.
Lots of variety of rose flowers and different arrangements.
Loved the hybrid rose colours and the garden wasn't very busy.
It's calm and relaxing with family and kids.

The Rose Garden is attached to the Werribee Park Mansion. At the height of spring when the roses are in full bloom, the Victorian State Rose Garden is a truly magnificent sight, a mélange of styles and colors. There are over 5,000 rose bushes in the Garden. Victoria is called "the Garden State" for good reason.

Couldn't have picked a more perfect day to attend the Werribee Park Rose Garden Walk today. Werribee Park was positively buzzing with Open House Melbourne day at Werribee Park Mansion, and a host of other activities happening. As it was a very small tour group today, the two absolutely amazing Parks Victoria volunteer tour guides (David and Ann) were able to 'take requests' so off we detoured to the Farm, taking a peek at the stables and men's hut. This free 'walk & talk' tour through the tree-lined park and State Rose Garden was peppered with the most interesting facts from David and Ann, who were passionate, knowledgeable and witty. They made exploring and listening to facts entertaining and interesting. Absolutely loved and enjoyed the walk - what a great discovery experience in a visually stunning landscape. Thank you to David and Ann for an amazing experience.

Plenty of parking, including disabled parking. Beautiful rose gardens, with perfumed roses still in bloom. The attached Werribee Mansion is amazing about $10 per person, well worth it! Grabbed a coffee, toasted sandwich, tart and muffin. Perfect for a picnic. The gardens are beautiful. Flat paths too for wheelchairs and prams. Delightful, we'll be back for another visit.

On a previous visit Victoria State Rose Garden deserved its description of a world-class garden. This year has been a tough season for the roses; rain and wind, the blooms were a colourful sight. However current maintenance of the gardens abysmal.
Most of the bedding mulch cover is sparse or non-existent, as a consequence, weeds in seed, high and widespread, both in beds and pathways. Brick edging disappearing under turf infiltration, mowing in some lawn areas slap dash; garden benches require paint and repairs.
The work by the rose garden volunteers will have been restricted by Covid, however it is difficult to comprehend why Parks Management has decided to neglect these Gardens.
In contrast, most Victorian Councils/Local Authorities, have been able to maintain their town and city parks/flower and rose gardens to a good standard..
Why have Parks Management equipped with mechanical edger tools, tractors, heavy-duty lifting and haulage garden equipment, not continued the upkeep to a reasonable standard?.

Wonderful experience, cute date idea. We had a volunteer David share an amazing tour. Very knowledgeable regarding the plants and grounds. If you visit don’t forget to donate :) very much needed and deserved!!

My wife and I stayed at the Mansion Hotel for 2 nights, which is located next to this Garden, so we visited even though we have been here before about two years ago.
This is supposed to be the largest Rose Garden in Australia and indeed, it is large.

This is a rather large rose garden. Varieties from all over the globe and in a range of colours. Smell the roses, their fragrances differ depending on variety. Lovely place that is maintained by volunteers.
