We took our 8-year-old granddaughter to a recent show at the Lancaster Marionette Theatre. She's a Disney princess girl, and we weren't sure what she would think about this kind performance. She loved it! She sat in one of the front row seats, fully mesmerized by every part of the show. Later, she told us that she loved, loved, loved everything and wants to go back. We, the adults, appreciated Robert Brock's kindness in giving her some special attention with an on-stage selfie. We all enjoyed the pre-show tour of the adjoining marionette museum as well as the show.

I’ve seen two shows here and highly recommend this to both children and adults. The stories have cute characters and songs to keep the kiddos engaged and Robert throws in enough jokes to entertain the older crowd. Robert is the force that makes it all work with his enthusiastic personality, fun sense of humor, and genuineness! I recommend showing up early before the show to catch the museum and backstage tour. I also recommend taking some time afterwards to gets some pictures and to talk to Robert a bit. He is ridiculously friendly and loves to chat about his work and Lancaster! He’ll also give you tips for taking the best selfies!😂

We have been 3 times in last two months it is so much fun. All marionettes are created by the owner and are really beautiful. His enthusiasm is contagious.

What a wonderful show we saw at the Lancaster Marionette Theater on Saturday, December 22. My daughter treated us to this show along with her family which included six year old twins. Before the show we had a back stage tour by Robert Brock, owner of the theater and creator of the marionette puppets, which was very interesting and informative. Mr. Brock did an amazing job with the show which meant operating quite a few puppets as well as narrating the story and singing Christmas songs. We thoroughly enjoyed this performance and highly recommend any performance that Mr. Brock does in the future.

This little theater is very entertaining and very affordable. It’s nothing spectacular but you will be amazed at the talent and passion of one man. Mr Brock makes all the puppets and their costumes, does all the dialog, lighting, movements and set changes. It’s an intimate setting and you can’t help but be fascinated by his presentation. Definitely go for the backstage tour so you can view all his puppets from past shows. It was a great night out!

Be prepared for a fun adventure! Set in an adorable theater, you’ll experience an informative back stage tour and witness an impressive performance with marionettes all hand crafted by Robert Brock. This man is passionate about his marionettes and all aspects of theater which is evident from the moment you step into the building. He took time to speak to all his visitors individually and took pictures with my children and the marionettes, which they’ll remember forever! I would highly recommend getting tickets to a once in a lifetime magical experience that’s fun for all ages! Thank you, Mr. Brock- we’ll definitely see you again next summer when we return to the area.

Robert Brock is a jewel and his theatre shows are an absolute “must” if you are in or around Lancaster for a day or more. Amazing talent, thoroughly enjoyable shows for any age group. Give it a try, you will ‘not’ be disappointed.

After a couple of years of seeing and enjoying all children's musical productions - we recently saw the grown-up production of "The Death and Life of Sherlock Holmes" which was excellently performed. It appears Mr. Robert Brock can do anything with his amazing marionettes! Looking forward to seeing everything coming up at this incredible venue in downtown Lancaster!

The sole creator and performer who makes this theater possible is multi-talented and passionate for his craft, The back-stage tour offers perspective into what happens before it is showtime. While this is appropriate for children, adults without children who appreicate the performing arts will consider this to be time and money well spent.

We did the Friday Morning show - Wizard of Oz production - we went early to do the back stage tour which is very interesting - play itself was excellent- would be great for children - had a good time - might repeat again !

If you park on the street, you need to plug meters. The take quarters and you get 10 minutes per quarter. There is the Prince Street Garage and the Water Street Garage.

We purchased our tickets online but you can also purchase them at the theater. You should call to make sure they haven't been sold out before driving there.
