I highly recommend another hidden secret of Pittsburgh. For 30 years I have taken visitors to the Nationality rooms and no one was ever disappointed. I recommend contacting them about their policy on pets.

Yes, and use the entrance off of 5th Avenue to avoid steps. Elevators are available to use. I had a professor who used a wheelchair to teach and we used different class rooms in the building. There is public parking off Forbes Avenue but you have to cross Forbes which can be pretty busy. There is metering street parking near the Heinz Chapel side of the building, closer to 5th Avenue. There is a parking lot near Stephen Foster, next to Cathedral, call and see if you could use this lot.
