I’ve been on the gateway clipper a few times with family and everything is wonderful. You get a great view of the city from the rivers point of view, and the staff is friendly in the food is excellent.

Loved our riverboat tour with members of the Lewis & Clark Trail Heritage Foundation! Pittsburgh is a beautiful city!

We had a great tour of Pittsburgh's three rivers by taking the riverboat tour. Very interesting information, and the scenery was beautiful. A must-see if you're staying in Pittsburgh for a few days.

Wonderful way to see the amazing river views on the way to Acrisure Stadium to watch a Steeler Game. I hadn't done this for many years and it was awesome! Easy to park and purchase tickets and able to have a drink and relax and enjoy the ride. Would highly recommend! Great trip on a beautiful day. Staff was efficient and friendly.

We came to Pittsburgh to see the Metallica concert at PNC Park. Wondering how we were getting to the stadium from our hotel at Station Square, we discussed Uber or a taxi then, upon checking in, the hotel agent suggested taking the shuttle boat to our evening venue. The Clipper Fleet was right next to the hotel parking lot and couldn't have been easier and a lot cheaper. Tickets were $15 round trip. We didn't have to wait, got on board and found seats on the top deck. Everyone moves their chairs around the railing to take in the sites. The boat passes Heinz Field then, PNC Park; total ride time about 10 minutes. You can buy beverages on the boat and smoking is allowed up top. It was one of the best decisions. I'd even recommend taking in the one hour tour as well. Thank you Gateway Clipper!

The food was exceptional. The staff were outstanding. The entire venue was phenomenal. Highly recommend to pre order a bottle of wine and appetizers. Have been on the dinner cruise twice this summer. All the appetizers are great. Be sure to get up on the deck after dinner for a good seat.

We enjoyed this 1 hour sightseeing trip which provides a nice way to view the city. The tour guide provided good commentary along the way. The boat was okay - we have done similar trips in other cities on more modern and pleasant ships. Drinks/snacks are also available for purchase.

We chose the 8:00 pm cruise since it worked for our schedule and thoroughly enjoyed. The cruise left before sunset and returned after sunset so we got to see the skyline with and without lights. The tour guide did a great job even though the happy hour crowd made it a bit harder to hear her towards the end of the cruise.

We went on the captains dinner cruise and I’ll start with overall, the ride up and down and then up and down again was pleasant. It was certainly nice seeing the city from that perspective. The ship itself, could definitely use some refurbishment as lots of areas were rusty and dirty. The crew itself could spruce up their appearance as well. Dinner was ok, but the service was poor. The top deck is the smoking section which was pretty disgusting. Too many cigars! They should at least limit smoking to the rear of the ship.

Went on a sunset desert cruise with my whole family. The food and music were great. We couldn’t avast for a nicer night even though it was threatening to rain we didn’t get rained on and we’re able to enjoy the top deck the whole time.

Is there dinner and drinks on there or do I have to pay or does it come with the tickets
Can we purchase the tickets for the ferry when we get there. Or do we have to purchase them in advance

Yes! You may purchase them either online or at the entrance when you get there.
Is there Air conditioning and I have to carry my portable oxygen (Imogen one) with me on board?

The interior section is definitely air conditioned. Enough so that I suggest taking a sweater.
I see no reason why portable oxygen would pose a problem.

I am trying to decide which sailing to do the classic or the fun,interesting and even a little strange Pittsburgh? Which do u prefer? Do they travel the same route? Any info would be great!

We took the historical tour and it was great to hear so many things I'd never heard about Pittsburgh - but we had to ask them to turn it up as hearing wasn't easy, with people around you talking. So, if you WANT to really learn this might not be the tour - just make it fun!

Hello ! I am trying to decide if I should take a daytime or night cruise. We are thinking of just doing the 1 hour tour (not the 3 hour tour! "Gilligans Island reference). I think it would be nice at night with the City lights but husband says daytime. What do you experts think? We will be there next week and I hope it does not rain too much! Thanks!

Here's my perspective... take the Incline and have dinner, catching the city night view from above and take the cruise for beautiful architecture and city view from the rivers... then you have both fabulous views!!

I attended a wedding reception on the Clipper, but the wedding was elsewhere. I'm sure that they would accommodate this, but I would ask well in advance.
