Do not waste your money. I booked 6/16/19 for a 7/12/19 6:30-7:30 event. Arrive at the location @ 6:10PM only to discover the doors locked, location emptied out. One of the tenants next door explained to me they have been closed for WEEKS! No response back from them, the phone number is out of service. Charged $300 & have not been refunded. Received an email 7/11/19 reminding me of the event. Received an email today thanking me for coming 😂 what a joke & a scam. Disputing with Discover currently.

DO NOT GO. we paid for 8 tickets online for 8:15 PM. we arrived 10 min early and the place was closed. All phone numbers are disconnected and a bunch of mail on the floor. We waited for hour and half and no employee showed. I tried every form of contact but recieved no answer. Escape Room 51 kept my payment. I had to turn them into my credit company as a fraud and now Discover is trying to make contact as well. VERY unhappy!!! Stay far away. $260 down the drain

Things were broken, the person who greated us had the personality of a wet mop, it was horrie. This was my first escape from and I don't thing I want to try ever again. The group I was with, who had been to escape rooms, assured me that there is much much better ones out there. Don't waste your money.

This was my 61st escape room. The Mission to Mars room rates in the bottom four.
My party arrived a few minutes before our scheduled room time to an empty lobby. We stood and waited for 5+ minutes before the game master to come out to greet us. She took us back to the briefing room and played the mission video for us first, then went back and showed us the rules video while apologizing for playing them out of order. At no point did she give us her name. She then handed us a walkie talkie (never my favorite since half the time the voice ends up unintelligible) and a single flashlight (1 flashlight for 2 people?) and asked if we had questions. When we said no she dropped us off in the room.
The room did not have a clock, so I checked my watch which said 12:52. We then heard the "you successfully solved your mission" spiel and then the GM on the walkie talkie about "sorry." The correct audio finally played.
Without giving away specifics of the room, it becomes difficult to detail all of the issues, but suffice to say some props were broken, one was inappropriately hidden (think along the lines of a false electrical outlet - it wasn't but it gives you an idea that it was somewhere you don't look because NO escape room hides things among real room electrics), and a hole was cut into the wall with a flap over it (not taped down or anything) which only contained the pointy ends of construction staples if you stuck your hand in and felt around.
The GM was no better. Multiple times we had essentially figured out a puzzle and were in the midst of solving it when she would chime in without provocation and tell us the answer. Then when we finally needed help, everything she said was gabled. She might as well been speaking a different language.
The lights came on at 1:45... so the GM was late starting us, but deducted that from our time. Thanks. We asked what the solution was that we had been stuck on. When she told us what it was, I asked how we were supposed to know to do that and she said "because I told you to". I pointed out that the walkie talkie was garbled, and still asked how I was supposed to know to do that; where was the clue in this room suggesting to me to do that. She looked at me blankly and after a moment said something like "maybe we'll have to add a clue to that effect." So I'm beta testing your room at full price, huh?
Here's some more advice for this business, given at my expense: Staff shouldn't bring crying babies since patrons can hear that during their game though the walls.
My advice to customers: Stay away. There are numerous, better escape rooms in the Pittsburgh area - Greenfield, Homestead, McKnight Road, and South Side to name a few.
