Amazing store off the beaten path but worth the ride! Baked goods in store are amazing! But the pretzels are my favorite! Don’t forget to buy some bread in store to feed the animals! Looking forward to our next adventure to that area!

The people running the store were friendly and helpful, but hoo boy this root beer is a doozy. It smelled like rotten eggs, which I'm pretty sure isn't normal considering I had root beer from a different place a while back and it did not smell like that at all. Unfortunately I don't remember which place sold it, but it sure as sugar wasn't this place. Blegh.

We took an Amish horse and buggy ride to this wonderful Amish store. Everything is delicious but the pretzels are not like anything you’ve ever tasted if you miss buying a pretzel shame on you I’m going back before we leave Lancaster and get about three more they’re out of this world nothing like you’ve ever tasted and that’s because they’re homemade.

We have stopped here before for the shopping inside. Handmade quilts, jarred goods and baked goods are all inside. There is homemade root beer inside by the bottle or jug, and outside by the glass. By far our favorite part of this stop were the homemade pretzels - yummy!!!

This was a roadside stop on a tour bus trip, so good that we requested to stop on our return trip heading home! The pretzels are just awesome! I don't care for root beer, but I had to try the homemade root beer and it is really good. Got a cup on both stops. The pretzel stand is the first part of the building, then the other is bakery and gifts. I bought a couple of schnitz pies (a traditional Lancaster County church pie made with dried apples and spices). Any time I'm in Amish country, I want those! In the back of the building is a fenced area of small farm animals. They are such a pleasure to watch. Bottom line, liked it so much the first time, we requested a 2nd stop - I believe you will too.

What a great little stop! We bought many local goods (pickles, cookies, soap) Loved the farm animals.

My friends and I love coming here everytime we visit the Lancaster area. I’ve bought so many wonderful things here! Recently, I bought a beautiful hand crafted birdhouse. They even sell real homemade root beer! The store is situated on a beautiful Amish farm hidden on the backroads. If you walk around to the back of the store you can see all the cute farm animals! They even have bathrooms on the premises, which are immaculate. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for Amish made crafts and delicious desserts!

The Countryside Road Stand is a nice short ride into the farm land. There are a lot of unique handcrafted items and foods throughout the shop. We found a gift for a relative for Christmas who is hard to shop for. On the way out we had a hot pretzel and soft ice cream.

We really enjoyed stopping at Countryside Road Stand. We stopped for snacks and souvenirs, the store had a great selections, and the service was good. We hope to go back next year

Away from the more crowded areas of Lancaster sits this beautiful farm. From the absolutely awesome pretzels (buy boxes to bring home!) with homemade honey mustard, to the store that carries authentic crafts and goods, this is the perfect place to stop on your Lancaster getaway.

When I was there in December, they were pricing out shipping for someone who wanted to have an item they bought shipped to their house. I am not sure if this extends to buying over the phone. Their phone number is: (717) 656-4474. I am not sure of their winter hours, as the owner mentioned they would be closed for a few weeks in January or February, however I would suggest calling them before 5pm during the week.

We have been there a time or two during the off season and mid-week and there were no pretzels. But during the peak seasons and on weekends they have pretzels. And, honestly, they are absolutely the best!

No the Country Roadside Stand does not have a catalog but just up the road Riehls Farm offer a catalog.

It is a small roadside stand, parking should not be an issue as there is a large parking lot.

I believe they are open every day, except maybe Sunday. I believe it opens at 10am and closing may vary with the season. They are Amish so there are no lights in the building.
