A small but nice free admission and parking amusement park. Water Park looked very nice. Many restaurants available

We went with friends and 3 kids, under 10 and loved it! Its in the middle of the mountains so the view is great! There is no admissions
charge for dry rides which is nice for non-riders and the rides are smaller, carnival like. The waterpark was awesome for adults and kids! They have big lockers for a rental charge, free parking and the food is unlike any other amusement park....like made to order pasta and fresh homemade pizza! The place is so clean, great staff and such a reasonable price for all day fun. I want to go back for sure. I would recommend for families with younger kids for sure, all though the water park could be good for teens.

Tickets lines were super long in the morning and staff wasn't there to direct you where to go. We lucked out and got in the short line at "Guest Services" with two windows, instead of "Tickets" with 5 windows and we got in super quick.
I had done the buy 3, get one free at Valentine's Day, but that wasn't really a super good deal. The coupon on their sauce container equaled to be the same discount.
Inside, no one checked our bags. We did take water, pop and capri suns.
The kids wanted slushies for lunch... but I wish someone would have told me the following.
DO NOT GET THE CLEAR REFILLABLE SLUSHY CUP. It's also not as good as a deal as it seems. It was $8 with $3 refills.
However, YOU CAN ONLY REFIL THE SLUSHY CUP ON THE SIDE WITH THE WATERPARK.
Instead, BUY THE GREEN DELGROSSO REFILLABLE CUP for POP! It's $10, but with $1 refills on the WATER SIDE AND THE RIDE SIDE of the park.
Food was really good and reasonably priced. $4 for a large french fry. $7 for 4 slices of pizza. On the WATER side, they are PERSONAL PAN PIZZAS with 4 slides, but on the RIDE SIDE, you can buy a FULL SIZE PIZZA to share. Wish I would have known that, too.
The wave pool was GREAT! The waves stay on for a very long time and there are only 10 minutes between cycles. However, only 250 can get in at a time. So a lot of people had to wait until others left. Also, the floor is rough and tore up our feet. However, water shoes were not allowed.
There are two lines for large slides. We waited for about an hour. It wasn't worth it!
Kiddie pool and playset is REALLY NICE! and has a rubber floor. I wish that rubber floor was everywhere!
Lazy river is enjoyable.
Ride side- GREAT FOR SIX YEARS OLD AND YOUNGER. A six year old can do almost everything on BOTH SIDES- kiddie land and older kid part- as long as they have an adult companion on the older/larger size.
My 10 year old couldn't do much of the smaller rides because he was too tall, which only left maybe 6-8 rides for him.
Mackenzie- a young woman who is probably 150 pounds, blond hair in a braid, leans into her walk a little- was AMAZING AND KIND! But she was THE ONLY ONE that told us to have a good day and was smiling. The other ride operators just seemed to be there for a paycheck and didn't genuinely care about the guests.
It was a nice day.... parking is free, food is reasonably priced, and we spent about 6 hours total between the water and ride parks, but for $200 for the day for two adults and 3 children (6, 8, and 10).... I think you could spend your money other places for more fun.
However! If a local and you could get season passes and just head to the water or ride park after 5:30pm when the crowds are lower, then I'd recommend it for sure.

We started off our day by visiting the Laguna Splash Water Park. I really enjoyed the Lazy River and my husband liked the water slides. If you like rollercoasters this is not a park for you. This is a small park, but clean and well maintained. Food was reasonably priced and delicious, especially Murph's famous potato salad. Would definitely visit this park again.

I was so impressed with this little park, and we didn't even use the water park side. Easily one of the nicest, friendliest and cleanest little parks around. It may not have the biggest or best rides and coasters, but it makes up for that with charm and character. You can tell the owners care about this park and the community. One day we hope to come back and check out the water park which was very well themed to an Italian village. The food here is also some of the best I've had in an amusement park hands down. It's a little out of the way from the major cities in PA, but its worth a stop at least for a few hours.

This is a park that both children and adults will enjoy. From various rides to water slides or the surf pool is outstanding. It is a fun day for people of all ages and food is outstanding and has something for everyone

This is a great amusement park to take your family and loved ones to. It's clean, presentable, fun, and fun. It's very good to have your family reunion at (it's where mine is). My Rating: Very Good

Stopped in early August on a Friday, and the place was jammin'! Large clean water park available with a great wave pool and lazy river, and across the road a family-friendly amusement park waiting under a canopy of large shade trees.
Lots of midway games, more and more rides, a huge picnic area for companies, a large retail store, and pretty much all the food is good. The pizza is the BEST of any park in America. Don't go home without it.

Very nice family oriented amusement park I feel like they should add some more rides and the train ride was a little disappointing it's just a circle and the openness they should have some different things set up at least a fake tunnel . Pretty powerful stuff we went there with a lot of people family six kids eight adults very nice place like I said a little bit more expansion in a few more rides every day great

Are cabanas available to rent for the Sundowner Pass time block or are they all occupied by people who came earlier in the day?

You may rent a cabana if it is available for the day you are looking for but there is no special pricing discount for renting it just for the sun downer time.
Where is a decent priced hotel close by to stay ? As we will be tracing few hours to get there . Would had to have to turn around n drive all the way back home .

The two closest to the park Comfort Suites Altoona (Pinecroft Exit off I-99) and Days Inn Suites Altoona (Pinecroft Exit off I-99). These are the closest (3-4 miles away). You can find a list of all the hotels in the area (incase you want one that is maybe further away but has restaurants and shopping near by) by visiting The Explore Altoona Website.

I don’t think it’s worth it. Ironically enough they just added the island ones this year as it was a great (and FREE) place to sit last year for those of us who knew better. The island was nice because everyone grabbed the first chairs they saw when they came in and never made the trek over to the island. So it was centrally located. Quiet. Near food. And right on the lazy river. Now they added the “Island Cabanas” and started charging for them. If I had to pick between the two, I would still go with island.

Why do you only have pepperoni sauce on the pizza? Why don't you have your traditional pizza sauce on your cheese pizza? Some people don't eat meat, and having a meat sauce only option is rather limiting.

hi- we were in the area last summer and I had promised my kids we would stop at this park on our way home to NJ. Well turned out to be a cold, rainy day and the water park was closed and we decided to skip it all together and just drive home. SOOOO here we are a year later and they keep asking when are we going to that Amusement Park in Pennsylvania?? I have a free night at a local hotel and I was thinking of driving out to PA and doing this park one weekday this summer. Are there any days I should avoid- like loaded with camp groups, etc? We'd definitely come on a weekday- not a weekend. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Amusement parks are always less crowded on a Monday or Tuesday. The later in the week the bigger the crowd.

Hello!
My family of 5 just wants to use the water park section. I understand I still have to purchase the fun pass-which I did online. Is there any shade and are there enough chairs? If there isn't any available chairs can you bring your own or is there another area to sit with beach mats? Also are you able to take a small cooler with some drinks? Do they provide the beach towels or should I take my own?

Hello:
Yes---we have umbrellas and chairs located at various areas around the water park.
For Safety reasons you may NOT bring your own chair---but you can bring mats.
We also have cabanas available for rent. All the details for those can be found on our website.
Coolers no larger than 10" x"10" x12" are permitted with single serving size water an snacks inside.....as well as medications or baby needs.
We do not provide beach towels---you will need to bring your own.
