The museum is new and has a lot if fun make believe, building and interactive areas. It's small but has a lot for kids to play with!

The children can easily spend two hours playing and interacting with other kids provided the opportunity.
I have visited this location twice, and I have noticed some of their equipments need repair. It should be a duty for the staff to repair what does not work, and parents should bring the problem to the staff so they can get to work more efficiently!
I also encourage the patents to pick up after their kids so everyone visiting the museum can enjoy it even better.

just eh, staff busy chit chatting- college students. Very expensive for grandparents and parents just to watch kids play with old exhibits. pretty shabby for the price. I would stay away if I were you. Many other less expensive options in the Myrtle Beach area

I had heard it closed, but i hope I'm wrong! I was looking forward to returning with my son on our trip to myrtle this summer~ Great kid museum where my son (aged 18 mos then) was able to enjoy himself but i would think great up til age 7ish!

This location is closed so we went to the location so we went to the location on Howard Ave. What a disappointment! The museum consisted of one medium size room and looked nothing like the pics on the website( I guess those were from the Oak St location). We were charged $8 a person. We saw some other doorways when we arrived so we thought there were other rooms. It was a bathroom. They were also doing construction behind a wall to expand. The noise was terrible, it frightened the 2 1/2 year old. As my daughter put it, it sounded like they were using a jack hammer.

this location (temporary from what i was told) is so small and you're lucky to have 30 minutes worth of time in it. my daughter, granddaughter and i went and it was $24. we just stood around while my granddaughter walked around. there wasn't much interest in it for her. i'd much rather take her to the movies and out to eat. this is nothing like it was when it was on oak street. a huge disappointment.

We've been waiting for Children's Museum of SC to re-open in their new location. We were really excited to bring the grandkids back because they loved it so much the first time. What a disappointment. Apparently, from what another customer told me, this is a temporary location in Market Common. We paid the full price for about a half hour of activity because that was all they had. If this is a temporary location and one small room was all they had to offer, then the price should have been cut as well. Honestly, if I'd known that this was temporary and it was just the one small room of scattered play things, I never would have paid that ridiculous amount. They made such a big deal about the grand re-opening from their location on Oak Street and we were extremely disappointed. I should have asked for a refund. They are located in a former clothing store. That should tell you how small it was. Don't go until they open their "real" location.It's truly a waste of time and money. The kids had more fun at Savannah's playground right down the street and that was free.

We stopped in at the new Myrtle Beach Children's Museum. The staff are absolutely wonderful, helpful and so friendly. The museum is geared at age 8 and younger. It has been sponsored by NASA so everything has a space theme. There is a great flight stimulator which my boys loved, a nice little toddler play area, nice crafts to make a few interesting learning and free play areas. The area is small what you see when you walk in is what you get. But it is nice for a 2 to 3 hour visit and offers a place to eat snacks. It is a nice affordable outing for families with younger kids that I recommend. It is in a very nice market area which offers great shopping, a little outdoor park, coffee shops or place to eat after. Plus parking is free and you can get a coupon online if you search to get a couple dollars off admission. Very affordable outing for Myrtle Beach.

Very interactive; lots to touch and play with. Took a 10-year-old who thoroughly enjoyed her time there. Especially a great place for the bad weather day at the beach!

We went in late March which still counts as the offseason. I don't know if the price is any different but I think it only cost us about $20 for the two kids. The 4-year-old could have stayed for a year since it's basically a big indoor preschool-kindergarten playground. The 13-year-old had fun playing with the younger one but got bored quickly.
Bottom line, If you go to Myrtle Beach and it's 50 degrees outside and you run out of indoor stuff to do, this can blow a half a day pretty cheaply compared to other stuff and it's still very close to the beach area and within about 10 blocks of everything on the main drag.
But, it is not fancy, it is not kept up that well, and it's not super clean. It's really just an indoor playground with some educational stuff thrown in and some crafts. It's like 8 bucks per kid so you can't complain too much.

Yes both 8 and 12 year old will get to enjoy the place. They have things for the older child to participate in that is geared toward the older child.

Think is was only $8 a person. No wheelchairs but it's very small with lots of places to sit
