I'd first like to say my husband and I have eaten at the HOB previous and enjoyed a musical venue and had a wonderful time. We thought the Murder Mystery Theater would be the same quality. Big NO. Tickets were super expensive ($115 pp) but we splurged because I was celebrating my B-day. They sat us back towards the bar and my husband had a large column to his back. Every part of the staff's production took place on the opposite end. We couldn't see anything at all! The only part of this show that takes place in the rest of the restaurant was interviewing people. We've been to several Murder Mystery dinner shows and we were expecting to be entertained while we ate. Nope. There was very little acting involved and what acting took place was awful. The only two beverage options (included in the price) was water and sweet tea. No unsweet tea, really?? I understand purchasing cocktails and alcohol but they couldn't even give an option of flavored drink for someone who doesn't tolerate sugar?? We finally got up and moved to a diff table so we could see the show. We still couldn't see specific parts of the show. The salad was the best part of this night. The dry/cold chicken, rock hard potatoes and carrots were the quality of cafeteria food. Again, we have eaten here in the past and thought the food was good but for $115pp this food was awful. Oh and did I mention even though the table

First?!?! The staff disnt appear to be trained in basic serving skills. We didn't even stay for desert or the end of the play. We'd rather go back to our condo and watch tv and eat chips
than to suffer through the rest of this production. I bought our tickets from a second hand seller and for me and my husband it cost us over $279 of our hard earned money. We will never go back to HOB.

Had a blast. Staff was nice and the food was great. Loved that they include the audience. Only thing was we could hear the band outside

We decided to do this for something different. We knew it would be a bit corny (which it was) but if you go into it knowing that and not expecting Broadway quality entertainment, it’s fun and enjoyable. The food was decent for a mass produced type place. Not dine dining by any means but a good amount of food and fine tasting overall. The apple and ice cream dessert was very good!
Be prepared to tip your server on top of the $50 per person cost, and your bartender for any bar bill.
One of the most annoying things for us was that you need to pick up your voucher (with a bar code) in person and then we were told two different locations by Vacations Made Easy (not so much). Thankfully we listened to the correct person and found the theater - a 20-30 minute drive away from where we were staying. I think they make you get the tickets in person at Broadway Beach to try to to sell you more experiences!
Overall my family had a fun time at the dinner show.

Strongly do not recommend. Food was incredibly cheap. Said we would get an "Italian chicken entree" but it was just canned green beans (which no one at our table ate) and manicotti (no chicken). The show started kind of fun and silly, but was not at all an actual murder mystery. The cast was 6 people, one was a cop and four of them died, so there was only one person the killer could be. Not much of a mystery. They also tried to charge an additional $5 for a black light flashlight to be able to see the clues, which is crazy. The plot of the story made no sense, and all but one of the actors was so bad it was painful.

We found the experience a delight. Casual and fun. Young and friendly, energetic staff. Good quality and quantity of food served by friendly staff. Actors are very active all around the room all evening. Arrive a little early and plan for more than two hours in all.

Murder mystery was an ok entertainment for the evening. Not what I expected. Dinner was a small serving of a chicken filet, 2 small scoops of mashed potatoes with some sort of sauce, mixed veggies, a roll(no butter), and cheesecake for desert. I asked for more water and was ignored. It was not a great evening. Everyone in our group went back to our condo and fixed food to eat. Food needs to be better, much better and more of it.

Enjoyed the exchanges with the actors. It was very entertaining and challenging to figure out who done it. Also, the food was delicious.

What is the cost per person? Do they have seperate pricing for kids under 12?

It was 47.00 per adult, but not sure about children as our party were all adults. But be mindful, I think a young child would not be able to follow the adult humor (no dirty just more geared for adults) and may be bored. Go for the Pirates Adventure! More entertaining for children and better value. Everyone will have a better time.

I think he's too young, but it's not scary. Not sure if your son is old enough to understand the proceedings. I feel late teens would be best. Not for very young children.
