Also made to feel unwelcome. We stopped off to buy some pictures.
Which we did. Sone good stuff. But..
There is no toilet for customers here - either cafe or gallery. So had to leave wife and travel to nearest one - garage/shop 500m further up road.
Coffee was good btw.

Walked into the gallery to be met with stunning photographs adorning the walls. Particularly the one of them burning the heather which with the snowy peaks in the background looked like a lava flow in Iceland. Very fortunate to be able to chat with Daren about this and other of his photos. If you have an interest in photography or excellent art this is a must visit place

I was cycling from Laxay to Tarbert in atrocious weather and was hoping to dry off and get warm with a coffee and cake. Unfortunately, after a full week of being made very welcome on the Island, I was made to feel very unwelcome. The cafe wasn't busy and I was told that I would have to vacate my seat if others came in. I wanted a cheese scone, but was told he didn't have enough as others already in the cafe may order one! I never did get served my coffee. Thankfully was rescued by a friend in a car and had a lovely warming bowl of soup at the Harris distillery cafe instead. Definitely not welcoming to cyclists.

Darren and Chris' gallery is a must if you visit Harris or Lewis for two reasons: first Darren's photos are astounding, showing what a talented artist in command of his medium can achieve and that photography is not dead; second Chris makes the best coffee in Britain bar none. He should consider offering training to places that offer bland filter coffee and call it espresso. You can enjoy beautiful views whilst sipping a delicious coffee and admiring Darren's amazing photos. What more do you want?

Darren Cole's photography is stunning. The gallery is in a beautiful spot overlooking a Loch and serves coffee and snacks too. Well worth a visit to see Darren's wonderful work nice gifts to purchase too. We bought one of his prints and are delighted with it.

Owned and run by two very friendly guys who go out of their way to make sure you've got what you want. Calm and unrushed atmosphere. Delicious scones with great coffee and a range of unusual teas, which they are happy to discuss with you and provide recommendations. And wonderful art to look at too!

This gallery is only small with 3 tables to sit and admire the lovely views but well worth a visit. Darren’s photography beautifully captures the essence of the area and is presented framed and unframed and also using ceramics. Make sure you try Chris’s baking, the carrot, orange and pecan cake was the perfect accompaniment to my coffee. Our purchase was well wrapped for our journey home. I look forward to visiting again next year

Have been looking for a picture of Luskintyre beach for a while and found it here while on holiday. The gentlemen who run it were lovely and friendly and I did not feel at all rushed when choosing from the variety of pictures available.
The gallery is beautifully displayed, clean and they serve teas and coffee’s. Wouldn’t highly recommend a visit. Photos are costly however they are beautiful.

Stylish looking gallery with it's own off road parking just outside Tarbert. They sell teas, coffees and cakes however if they previously had light lunches on offer that is now gone.
The work is based on photography with some impressive looking large framed prints of local landscapes on display - at a price. There are also good quality tiles, mugs, cards, etc all designed using the photograper's work. Definitely worth a stop off to see and to purchase if you have the hanging space and deep pockets. We were almost tempted.

Such excellent photography and a few other crafty things to enjoy in this small but perfectly formed gallery. Sit and enjoy a drink while you admire the surrounding art work. Purchased a rather smart mug and some cards. The hosts were very welcoming and happy to chat with their visitors.
