A great trip out to the dramatic Shiant Islands. So many seabirds nesting in every available space. Lots of White Tailed Eagle activity and puffins galore !
Excellent, close up sightings of Minke whales and diving gannets.
The coffee, home made cake and a wee dram made the finishing touches to a wonderful trip. Thoroughly recommended.

As part of an organised tour, we enjoyed a trip out to the Shiants with Isle of Harris sea tours. Absolutely magical views of 1000s of seabirds up close. A number of White tailed Eagles gave good views too. Angus and Kenny went out of their way to enable us to see around 4 Minke Whales as they fed close to the boat. Would highly recommend.

I’ve been on lots of boat trips where very little has been seen. This was as far removed from that as you can get. Angus and Paul were both fantastic guides. Angus has first class knowledge of the area and knows exactly where to go to give you the best chance of seeing wildlife. The boat was great and it was lovely to have coffee, cake and a wee dram on the way back to The harbour. The 6 hour tour of the Shiant is really a must do trip. Although the puffins had departed the island there were hundreds floating about the boat. Shags, including a rare albino shag were nesting, as were thousands of kittiwakes . There were also numerous sea eagles seen during the trip. Porpoises and seals were plentiful as were other sea birds. We also saw numerous Dolphins, some of which came to play in the bow wave of the boat. Angus even managed to find a Minke. Finally, the company is both professional and more than fair. The weather meant that the trip had to be rearranged a few times. On one of the days we actually set off but the mist and rain meant we wouldn’t see much, although we did see an otter two minutes after departing. Rather than carrying on in the mist and rain Angus offered to take us back and reschedule. Our original trip was for otters, seals and creels but because this trip could not take place we were transferred to a Shiant Islands Tour. This was a much longer trip. One of the party fell ill on the day of the tour and was given a full refund. I still attended and feel fortunate to have been transferred to the 6 hour trip and have visited the island.

This sea fishing trip with Angus and Alex was one of the highlights during our stay on Harris and Lewis. Due to inclement weather we fished just off Scalpay and caught many mackerel and coleys. Besides fishing Angus and Alex pointed out the local wildlife. We saw common dolphins, porpoises, a stag and a sea eagle. Angus and Alex are very friendly, approachable and skilled fisherman. On our return to Tarbert Angus and Alex made us all a hot drink with a generous slice of homemade ginger cake and to round off this wonderful trip Alex gave us all a wee dram of whiskey. All in all a great day and memorable day.

We did the trip from West Loch Tarbert to Scarp and Kinresort. This was a full day excursion but the time flew by. Visiting the old village communities at the head of Loch Resort and on Scarp was the highlight for me but we also had opportunities to see stags on the hillsides, sea eagles on the wing and on the ground, an otter eating a large fish, and a myriad of sea birds around the boat.

Unforgettable trip to Shiant Islands with Angus Campbell…. Enjoyable trip out and back with lots to see.
Angus is an experienced and knowledgeable local
skipper. On arrival at the Shiants you are met with a variety of sea birds in abundance including sea eagles and puffins…., never seen so many!!!!
After touring the cliffs and shoreline you get the chance to go on shore for two hours and enjoy your lunch at the bothy with amazing views.
The boat is well equipped with a toilet. s fresh coffee, home baking and a dram is served before you leave the islands.
Photographer and bird watchers heaven!!!

This trip was the pinnacle of our trip to Harris - These were the words of our 10 yr old son.
This was a brilliant trip to the Shiant Islands. A 6 hr round trip with time on the island to have a picnic and a walk round.
The boat was spacious and comfortable. The Skipper Angus is a legend, his knowledge and passion is unrivalled.
On route we stopped to see minke whales that were near the boat. We also saw Sea Eagles which was amazing to see

Booked for 2 on the Shaint islands tour. Hampshire the skipper and his mate were fantastic. Took about 6 hrs round trip we stopped regularly to see minki whales, Sea eagles and plenty of puffins. We were taken ashore via a boat for 2 hrs to explore. On way back Tea,Coffee,cake and a shot of whisky.
Life jackets made to be worn throughout the trip very safe.

The whole experience was amazing. My favourite day of the holiday. We got to see two Minke Whales which kept circling the boat. They were just as interested in us as we were in them. Just beautiful. In and around the islands we saw Sea Eagles, Puffins and so many other birds. On the way back we went into a cove where there were so many seals and a heron. Kenny and Angus were the perfect guides and were very knowledgable. The boat is spacious and comfortable and the hot drinks and cake were a real treat. I highly recommend this tour.

A much anticipated trip which more than lived up to expectations. Angus is a skilled Captain and Kenny looked after us, was very knowledgeable and 'eagle-eyed' 😂. We saw 10 Sea Eagles at one time, having seen 2 and 4 on separate occasions. Saw my first Puffin - then 1000s more!

Hi we are coming back to Harris first week in June
And would love to go to Taransay from Luskentyre would that be possible ?
