Hello, I’m really confused. So I am a Canadian who will carry proof of citizenship at this park. You know in the state park these is a walkway that goes to the actual arch, shown in the picture I think, basically just crossing that but it crosses through the I-5, a bit like crossing a street. Am I allowed to cross this to get to the Peace Arch?

I’ve passed by this lovely monument many times going to and fro Canada. This time we actually stopped to walk about, have a picnic and take in the beauty of the grounds, monument and to appreciate the significance of our border with Canada. We were all very surprised by the amount of people enjoying the park. Kids swinging, kicking balls and families having lunch. Young and old - all enjoying this strip of green between the two countries. Our picnic table was close to a group who were speaking a language we did not understand. I met a US family who brought their visiting Grandma from Guatemala to experience the Canadian border. Great day today.

I am a Canadian, however, I am obsessed with America. When I say obsessed I mean hardcore NATIONALIST. I know all the words to the anthem, and sometimes even pretend I live in the USA. I am 11, and I had never been to the USA, ever. My grandma took me out and surprised me by taking me here. (She stayed in the car, in Canada.) I got out and showed my birth certificate (I have no passport), and then I was in my dreamland for the first time. I am telling you, it was the happiest day of my entire life. And I've been to lots of places before (in Canada), such as Big Splash, Playland, and WEM in Alberta. The feeling was like I had won the lottery! It felt like something inside of me was saying "We did it, finally." I did cartwheels and sung the national anthem and ran around and people were staring, but I didn't give 2 figs. I was at home, for the first time in my life. Even though I don't live there, I was at home. I also played a game called "I'm in the USA, I'm in Canada. I'm in the USA, I'm in Canada." Some people come for selfies, but I was here and had a life-changing experience. That day will forever be the happiest day of my life. If I get married? Nope, still, the best day of my life was at Peace Arch Park. If I have kids? Still, Peace Arch Park day. This park is a gift sent from God and we must not take it for granted. VISIT. THIS. PARK.

Peace Arch State Park is a very special place!! We've been coming here since before the covid pandemic. Those were the days when the park was not busy. Nowadays, though, the park is crowded with lots of folks.

It's a great place to hang out at the border between the U.S.A. and Canada

I live in Wa. state several miles from the park and bike ride into the park several times a week. Went to the park on the hottest day of June. Temp about 95 degrees. A lot of people in the park picnicking. Plenty of big trees for shade. There is a building that can be used for events. Canadians and Americans pitch tents in the park during daylight. Tents must be gone be sunset. The park borders zero ave Canada.

We were traveling about 20 minutes away and decided it would be fun to come to the border. We knew we wouldn’t cross over but you can take steps into Canada for pictures under the Peace Arch. It’s a fun photo. The park is lovely with some shade. Many people meet there from both countries. Border patrol is out on both sides in case someone decided to be stupid.

It is very good place to spend quality time with your family or friends from dawn to dusk in lockdown. It is also famous for parties and marriages of Canadians and Americans.

The park is well maintained, and some good historic background at the monument. Not crowded whatsoever. We were hoping to go to Vancouver, but could not due to the border still being closed because of Covid....even with vaccinations!

Great place to meet & greet friends & family from both sides of the borders without waiting in the vehicle Customs line.
The U.S. 🇺🇸 side is designed to easily to find & access the park. Excellent view of the San de Fuca Strait. It is WA State Park. Day Pass/ yearly Pass are required. The park has plenty of space. Clean restrooms. I can say it is the Safest Park. The U.S. Borders Patrol are watching from the parking lot. On the Canadian side CBP Officers are stationed on 0 Avenue. CBP cars are creating a single lane into Canadian Port of Entry. There are signs all across the Peace Arch Park lawn stating that the Border is closed. Pedestrians are hesitant to cross that line. I’ve heard of one case where a Canadian couple entered the the US Customs Station to ask for information. On there way back the Canadian CBP gave them a mandatory 2 weeks quarantine.
Finding the Peace Arch park on the Canadian 🇨🇦 side is a lot harder. You have to travel a maze of streets. Street parking on 0 Avenue is not allowed. Residential parking 1-2 blocks away from the park is the only option.

Blaine is an entry point into Canada. The Peace Park was beautiful at the end of September - flowers in bloom, well maintained landscape. Entry from the USA into Canada on a Sunday mid morning was a 15 min wait. Not long.

Entry form Canada back in to the USA was an hour and a half wait. As long as there was a driver in the vehicle the passengers could get out and use the RR and see the Peace Park.

If the line is moving - there is parking near the Duty Free shop that you can use, there are picnic tables and a view of the water.
