I had never been to a rodeo before and didn't know exactly what to expect. It was fun and entertaining and perfect for any age.

The VIP Behind the Chutes experience at the Jackson Hole Rodeo did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by our amazing hosts Brit and Steve. Their knowledge and insight into the individual rodeo events is incredible. Seeing the athletes prepare close up and watching the mechanics behind the scenes is unparalleled. We were thrilled beyond our expectations watching the cowboys, the animals and the hard work so intimately.

This was a fun activity for my family including two young kids. This was the first time any of us had been to a rodeo and we all had a nice time. The rodeo clown did fun crowd participation activities in between events, but there wasn’t an overwhelming amount of filler. There were a lot of contestants and a range of events. Get there by 7:30 if you want your pick of seating, though it’s small enough that there’s not really a bad seat in the house. Sit on the west side if you want to avoid the glare of the setting sun while waiting for the rodeo to start.

Read reviews & had never been to a rodeo so decided to give it a go. We got tix for $45 under cover, which was well worth it. Better view, and in case it rains you have something over your head.
It was a great introduction to rodeo... most of the contestants were teens/high schoolers, with a few exceptions. Show started promptly at 8pm and wrapped up at 10.
The announcer kept things moving along and I would absolutely do another somewhere else!! I can't imagine what a bigger rodeo where riders travel must be like, because I was SUPER impressed with a 9yo girl doing barrel racing!

Easy to, easy parking. Helpful and friendly staff. Easy general seating…until Karen showed how ugly people can be. Staff assisted finding security, who was charming and wise and never raised his voice, effectively moved Karen and her minions to another area.
We laughed, gasped, cheered, and participated in the amazing show.
Highly recommended…just be prepared to put up with strange people.

Totally authentic experience. I would spend money for the covered section to get a better view and protect from rain if it happens. Bring your sunglasses for the early part and also arrive early to get a good seat. Food and beer were pretty good, but about what you'd expect from that kind of venue. All in all a great family experience - would do it again.

While visiting Jackson Hole we took the kids (ages 8, 10 and 13) to their first rodeo! It was a great evening. We got there early to grab dinner at the concession stand and get a good seat. The riders and entertainment crew did a great job. Will definitely visit again if in the area.

True Americana. What a great experience for our kids and us. Really a professional rodeo with all of the entertainment. Did not disappoint at all. The kids rode the mechanical bull after for $10 and got a taste of how tough these cowboys are. Good family fun

We really enjoyed the Jackson Hole Rodeo! It was low-key, fun, and entertaining--a great outing for the whole family. At one point, all kids ten and under were invited to come down onto the arena floor to try to catch some sheep. The rodeo clown kept things comical and knew how to work the crowd, and all of the events were fun to watch. We got there at 7:15 p.m. and had plenty of time to get refreshments and find a good seat. We appreciated the patriotic intro to the evening's activities, and recognition of those serving in the military. The beautiful sunset was an added bonus.

The rodeo was fantastic! This is a perfect outing for families of all ages. Plus, it is an easily walkable event from the center of Jackson. Be sure to have a beer and relax in the shade!

Curious if anyone can explain the process for purchasing the VIP Behind the Chutes experience? Those tickets/experience aren’t available on website and I’ve tried calling and emailing- no luck. Thanks!

I had the same question, which was answered by a friendly call to the main number... you need to call the number listed on the website (and hope for a call back, like I'm doing at the moment). Also, I understand tickets are about $175/person (compared to $35/45 for uncovered/covered seats). There also appears to be a limit of 12 VIP seats per night.
What time should I arrive to catch all the events at the shiners rodeo in Jackson

There is a large open parking area near the rodeo. I think it maybe a gravel lot.

Well tripadvisor won't allow links posted so go to our website and move your cursor over rodeo menu a drop down menu with Schedule as an option click on it you will see our schedule. then thank trip advisor for making a simple question extemely hard to answer.
