the entire mall seemed to have a negative feel to it.

While on vacation stopped at Whaler's village. shops are down to minimal the ones that are open are complaining about the management told his name is Larry and a lady they call a name "I wont mention". I come to Maui every year, except the last two. Never seen whalers village so depressed. To whoever is concerns the management is well known to be terrible why have them!!

Clean, open-air mall with very good shopping choices.

I found it very convenient and well-organized. The food court was very good even though a bit subdued. Access to the beach walk made it compelling and a must to visit.

We loved Whalers Village. They had everything from named store like Tommy Bahamas to a great and large ABC store which is a great store for souvenirs to reef safe suntan lotion. Easy to navigate with areas to sit if you need it. Great experience.

Nice shopping experience. Located close to beaches. There is a good variety of stores to choose from.

Making a post-Covid comeback

Some of the regulars are gone: Subway in the Food Court (as well as the Mexican taco place, too), Honolulu Cookie Company is gone (but there is one in Lahaina), and the soft yogurt shop are likewise things of the past.

But some of our favorites are still here: ABC (bigger and better), Tommy Bahama, the Food Court (or what there is of it these days), and the De Nani Food Truck next to ABC.

De Nani is pretty good, onion rings were flavorful, and the fish tacos were likewise good (but a bit too sloppy-wet). They do a good business and the menu is quite varied.

This time of year (December), Whalers Village always does it up big with the gorgeous tree and all the seasonal decorations.

Sure do miss some of our old favorites, though.

Great place to shop and hang out.

Great place to shop. Lots of different price points. We loved having out at the beach here, and had a great selection of food and drink when needed. Also, you can watch the whales from the beach.

Lots to do and see here. Great shopping area. Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Hilo Hattie, ABC store, restaurants. Park in the ramp and get your parking validated for up to 3 hours free parking. The ramp has electric car plug in. We walked the Kaanapali walkway from here. It is a bustling area. I recommend a visit.

Scammers Village is more like it

The henna tattoo booth this place is renting space too by the beach scams tourists. Something that would normally cost $60 (which we paid two years ago) ran us $328. The girl knows you’re going to try and fight this so she says she is showing your ID to the camera, doesn’t state the cost just puts it into her CC charger and then had you sign it. By the time you notice she has charged you $328 you card has already been charged and she will not refund it.

A Shopping Center Long Past It's Prime

This is a tired, run down, shopping center. You enter a dingy parking garage with no clear cut areas where you should park. They have signs up that state your car will be towed if you park in an assigned parking space, but how do you know?

Their website lists the stores and the hours that they are supposed to open. The problem is the stores open whenever they want to and do not follow the stated openings. We arrived at 9 am to shop because the website stated the stores would be open. However, some stores didn't open until 2 hours later.

Better off visiting similar stores in a much cleaner shopping center in Wailea, and there is no charge for parking.

Crowded, poor mask wearing, expensive stores

Not sure why this place is so busy. I would avoid unless you need to stop for a snack or a coffee. Parking can be a pain, not a lot of mask wearing.
