Nice and quiet, and quite a few turtles, this is a great place to stop whether or not you’re heading back to the airport nearby.
Good facilities, and the amenities of Paia are very close, too.

Pretty nice beach with pounding surf which is often not safe for swimming. Can be quite windy. There are some shady characters around, you may want to watch your things carefully. Good place to see big waves.

Praia super local, natureza selvagem , pouca gente , mar imenso e maravilhoso. Ideal para um dia de tranquilidade. Muito bom para piquenique. Tem chuveiros e banheiro .

We stopped at Baldwin Beach before we headed to the airport to go home. This beach is very breezy but still nice. We walked the beach to enjoy the beautiful blue/green ocean water. We saw a few turtles just hanging out in the water. We plan on going back to the beach to play in the water if we ever return to Maui.

We enjoyed Baldwin Beach. There is plenty of free parking. It can get breezy in the afternoon. We visited this beach twice. We saw a rainbow on the second visit, as it started to rain. I recommend.

Baldwin is a very windy and breezy beach; it is also beautiful and stretches onward almost forever! As you head back from shore there are lots of trees so you can always find a shady spot too. The surf is quite active so it is great for boogie boarding too. The beach is less than a mile from the town of Paia so you know you’ve always got somewhere fun to go before or afterward. While at the beach we went for a long walk to the left (when facing the water), we hear but can not confirm the nude beach may be to the right!

My husband and I stopped here on our way to Hana around 8:00 am. It was quiet, not crowded and the nice blue water was so beautiful and clear. The beach seems pretty big and offer nice views on the coast around. Restrooms and parking are available.

Phenomenal beach that has a lifeguard, bathrooms, outdoor showers, shade etc etc etc.
A short walk brings you to "baby beach" which has a breakwater protecting you from the waves and where sea turtles play and frolic in the surf.
Easy parking - wet water - beautiful views. Loved watching the planes flying in/out of OGG from the beach.

This is a nice beach with lots of parking. The water is a blue green and the sand is white. Just a great spot to enjoy things and watch the surf.

We used a water hose they had near the parking lot to rinse off! Ha! There may have been showers but I didn’t see any.

Hi all!
I have a long layover at OGG. I've heard that I can bus from the airport to this beach. Is that true? Would there be a place to shower and change near by? I've heard the town is great so I would really rather check it out with a beach than try to get a hotel day rate near the airport.
Thanks for any wisdom you have!

I can't comment on buses to the beach because they are quite limited so we've never used them. You may want to consider a car rental since you can drive to several stunning beaches in only a few minutes from the airport. Many have washrooms and showers. HA Baldwin Beach is a stunning beach that we absolutely loved, and yes, they have washrooms and showers. We spent the afternoon before our flight at this beach. I'm sure others will chime in as well. Enjoy your layover!
