Nice little tram ride. The guide did a coconut husking demonstration. We got to walk around the plantation and see some of the fruits. The tram ride is not very long, but informative.

Lots of family fun activities! We rode a tram, fed ducks, walk around art and gift shops, enjoyed fabulous food at the restaurant, and even saw a few geckos running about. The zipline looked fun, but we ran out of time. A great place visit on your Maui vacation!

This plantation is beautiful. Free roaming birds, lovely gardens, and restaurant.
Zip line and plantation train on site at extra charge.
Gift shop a little expensive but a nice range of gifts and food items.
The gardens are free to roam around and a nice place to sit and get away from the busy parts of the island. Tranquility at its best.
Worth a visit.

Fun tram tour through a beautiful setting. It was interesting to see all the different fruits and other crops growing at different stages. The grounds surrounding the stores and restaurants are beautiful!!!

The train ride was a more of a glorified golf cart and really only lasted 15 minutes the rest of the time was standing around watching a coconut husking demo that could of easily been done in 5 minutes definitely not worth the 25 dollar charge

The tour was informative, interesting and our guide (Ocean) was very entertaining. Would highly recommend on a trip to Maui

It's a very pretty place to visit. The little tour is sweet, the guide is adorable. She speaks softly and tad fast (there is a lot of info to go over in a short period of time, so I get it), a little difficult to hear her clearly. Regardless, I recommend seeing the plantation, even if you don't do the tour, it's worth a visit.

Who knew learning about the original plants in Maui could be so much fun! Seeing how pineapple land other produce grows was informative and entertaining. The tram was comfortable and virtually emission-free and the perfect length of time

It was fascinating to learn about what it takes to produce fruit and nuts on Maui. Our tour guide was Ocean and she was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.

Overall the tour had some educational aspects that were great. Saw some really cool vegetation, and learned some historical aspects of Maui. Would have preferred the tour to be free, with a minimum purchase amount from the store. (e.g. $25 per person x 2 tour fee was high from my perspective). Did buy some coffee at the store, good stock there.

There is a shop right at the entrance , it is pretty big , I believe they close at 5 o’clock. I am pretty sure they sell the coconut oil .

We booked directly with the Plantation. $20 each person to ride the tram. This is the only fee they charge. You can walk it for free. Wish we had known that before we spent $40. You will definitely want to eat at The Mill Hos Restaurant. Happy hour drink and menu prices ar from 2-4:00

Guests of our tram tour will receive a complimentary sampling of fresh pineapple and some strawberry papaya. Fresh tropical fruits and produce grown on the surrounding farms can be purchased at our Kumu Farms stand located on the property, open from 10am - 4pm Monday - Saturday.

We do not charge an admission fee or parking.
Here at Maui Tropical Plantation, we do offer daily tram tours for a value of $20.- zip line services and we count with a restaurant, coffee house, gift shop, farm stand and many other services.
Is there a free self guided tour at this plantation instead of the tram tour? If so, how do we go about to doing a self tour; where to go, who to contact, how long can we take self guided tour, is there a path to take, etc.
