I just moved into the area and was excited to see a place with billiards right down the street. And they have alcohol...what more could I ask for? I called up my brother to check out this weird Metro Fun Center the following weekend.

The building itself could be an old car dealership or maybe a large insurance firm from the 80s. It is cinder-blocked, kinda dark, and there are a lot of hastily made signs everywhere (for a hookah lounge, a grownfolks club(?), for nonrefundable drinks). I couldn't really tell what kind of place this center was. Was there an actual hookah place on sight? Could grown folks dance to Vandross on weds? It was very unclear from the signage what exactly was offered.

We get to the door, and everyone is frisked. **Everyone** - including the special needs adults who just got off the accessible MARTA bus in front of me - was frisked. I actually thought the security dude was gentle and kind with the special needs people in front of me but one must ask - why the hell was a pat down and metal scan necessary?

Brother and I walked in not sure how to pay for billiards. I saw online that they had tables available but amidst all that signage, it wasn't clear how much it would cost or how we could sign up for a table. The front lady was nice enough and told us we had to pay a $5 cover before even getting to the billiard table. And after that, we had to pay $1/game via tokens. I was fine with the $5 cover, as long as it paid for other things. Like, if I wanted to meander over to the arcade area, I assumed the $5 would pay for it. Or maybe I want to go to the rink - I assumed the $5 would cover that. Because a cover pays for general entry to a place. Boy was I wrong. You have to pay separately to access any other place in the building. If you want to skate and also play pool, you pay twice. If you want to play video games too, you place thrice.

Ok, fine, I just want to play billiards anyway. I head to the food place to get a quick bite. There's a little kitchen with a menu overhead. I start to order when I'm told to go to the bar to order, whereas the kitchen is only for food pick up. As bizarre as that sounded, I made my way to the bar to order my food. I also ordered a corona, and saw a $2 service charge on my bill. I believe service folks should be paid a living wage and would normally be totally fine with that charge. However, no one was actually bringing my food to me, thus no service was rendered. Annnd I was picking it up myself across the building, in this separate kitchen area. How are you going to charge *me* for doing *your* job? I was just about to get a margarita slushie when I was told that the slushie itself had no alcohol in it; you had to pay an additional $4 for a shot to go in the mix. Uh, what? To top it off, there are signs everywhere saying "no drink refunds, know what you are ordering!" Shady shady shady. At the end of the day, I got a weird twist - the food was good. Like, really good. Their nacho beef was seasoned and it had real peppers and onions in it. Fries were crispy. And, surprisingly, the quesadilla I got was not greasy at all. Is that possible? They clearly have a line cook in the back doing some MasterChef moonlighting. Because of the food, I am bumping up their rating to 2 stars.

I get my alcohol and carbs, and I settle down to the pool table and have a nice time. The table itself isn't the most well-kept, but there are signs everywhere asking folks not to sit on tables or put their drinks there. That's a nice courtesy to remind folks of. There are also a lot of places to sit. Which is great, considering the floor is concrete with a low pile carpet thrown on top. However, several of the balls were dented, and the triangles were broken. The table felt was raggedy. I was however happy to see they have several tables, rather than one or two billiards crammed in a corner with no space to make rough shots. That was nice.

In conclusion, this place is what it is - an overpriced, catch-all place for kids and adults alike to have some fun. With the lack of options available on Metropolitan Ave, I can see why people put up with Metro Fun's prices. It has what you need to have fun, even if it's expensive as heck.

First u get frisked at the door, for my daughter's Bday party REALLY. Got the gold package which included two events. they had a table set up near skating rink. We wasn't explained that the gold package didn't include a room $50 extra
Table cloth looked like it had been bald up, 10 plates and 6 cups REALLY. So we moved to the bowling side more light had to set up our on table hostess no where to be found. My daughter is allergic to pizza so we wanted wings for her but they said we didn't tell them . So we had to order her wing separate hostess never took order for extra food we had to go and place the order. Have 2 older girl that have had Bday parties at other bowling alleys which they provide a bowling pin for the Bday girl $20 extra. I know I forgot a lot of stuff tired of typing and didn't receive the free pass for the Bday girl , but WE DON'T WANT IT JUST HORRIBLE!!

They opened at 3pm. We entered, paid for our food, they they told us it would take 10-15 minutes that took an hour. At 4:30pm the windows on our car were bashed, phones in glove compartment stolen, then came our meal. We took our meal to go! We were only there an hour 1/2; Broad daylight. Service right? NOT.......

Really. Just don't!!

The Drinks are way too high. There is a 2 dollar charge for each drink because of lack of Tips. It would be better to charge a gratuity according to what a customer spends at the Bar and add that to the Bill at the end. This is common practice at many Restaurants. Also the drinks are weak.

We had a great time, the place is a hidden gem. We had my daughters 9th birthday there and it was the best! Make sure you check out their lemon pepper wings.

I have to say that I was very intimidated by this establishment. My fiance and I were in town for the weekend, decided to go skating as it is a favorite past time, looked up a rink and it led us here. Now first off, not only is it a shady area, but when I was frisked before entering * A SKATING RINK * blew my mind completely. We continued on because...well we were already there and had already been patted down so why not. The staff definitely needs some polishing, even though I am certain with the atmosphere that is the least of their worries. The music was nice, the skating area was mediocre, but it all served its purpose. We skated for about an hour for $30.00 in total and enjoyed ourselves which is what we came to do. Though we as adults enjoyed the music it was a little rated R for the age group skating that night. I would also recommend a different method for checking shoes because taking 1 shoe and making a patron hold on to their other shoe is completely ridiculous.

I enjoyed all the fun activities and the entertainment. It was a very busy place. Too busy it took about an hour to get a server to the table to take our order. The food was not priced too high. But it was very fun and I enjoyed seeing all the families enjoying themselves something for all ages

Family Oriented. Love the concept of having a Bowling Alley on both sides of the building, A Rollerskating Rink, Billiards, Bar & Food. Oh yeah in one spot. I will be back.
