Great aquarium! The big sharks are certainly the main attraction. But also the crocodiles and the koi petting pool are great. What is very negative, especially for small children, is the starting area where you necessarily have to go through a shop. Understandable from an entrepreneurial perspective. From a parent's point of view, horror and I mean no longer legally permissible. Nevertheless, we would always come back here and go out through the entrance area if necessary.

The marine aquarium Zella-Mehlis is a real gem for those who love the underwater world! I was particularly enthusiastic about the petting pond – an absolute highlight. It's so much fun to feed the Kois and get up close to them. The entire complex is lovingly designed and offers exciting insights into the diversity of marine life. A great place to marvel and enjoy the time. I can only recommend the visit!

Unexpectedly varied afternoon with lots of fun for the children. Many very well-maintained aquariums with exciting and impressive stock of fish. Enthusiastic crocodile house. Everything very clean and well maintained. Great artistic decoration on the walls - always matching the theme. No dead animals found. Very well maintained toilets. All in all, a very successful excursion, which also justifies the 90 minute journey easily. Prices are acceptable and understandable given the immense running costs. The only criticism: The labels above the aquariums do not always match the content and the display changes quite slowly. If you are looking for information about a special resident, you have to use a smatrtphone to avoid the QR code and read it there. Since the information appears to be digital, I cannot understand why it is not also displayed on the attached monitor.

My wife and I drove almost 500 km to the marine aquarium. We knew it from Youtupe. It was just awesome. I've really seen a lot of aquariums in zoos. But these great and well-kept pools with the really worth seeing corals and all sorts of reef inhabitants (fish, crabs, moray eels...) are second to none. Whether young or old. There is something for everyone. Of course, there is also much else to see such as freshwater, sharks and more. My heart just beats for the seawater and here nothing remains unfulfilled. Worth a total recommendation. By the way, we also met the two owner brothers. Really great guys. So off to the Merresaquarium. Three hours went around like nothing.

Great aquarium, we (family with 3-year-old child) liked it a lot.
Large parking lot. Outside there are koi tanks and automatic feeders. That was fun. There is also a playground.
Inside there are many aquariums with lots of colorful fish. Lots of places to sit.
A highlight is the shark tank. You rarely get to see sharks so close and so well.
There are lots of crocodiles on the first floor. The colony of leafcutter ants was also cool and even impressed my grandchild.
The mini carousels were also great for my granddaughter.
The toilets are clean.
The restaurant offers delicious food, drinks and coffee specialties.
We recommend a visit!

We were here yesterday with our grandson after a few years. It was a very nice visit. We really liked the outdoor area and our grandson thought it was great that you could get up close and personal with the koi. The toilets in the aquarium were clean. The aquarium tanks were very clean and well-maintained and there were signs that were cloudy because food had just been put in them. All in all, a successful trip. The only thing I have to complain about is that the seating by the large shark tank is a bit sloppy; it could be made nicer. Otherwise, thumbs up. We will definitely come back and can recommend it.

Our expectations were far exceeded. The entrance area itself was designed with a lot of love. Information is provided at a high level. The shark tank and the crocodile park are brilliant. The entrance prices are more than justified. Thank you to the Landeck family for their courage in giving us such a gift.

Really great aquarium. With a large shark tank. The corridors are large and you can linger in front of the individual tanks and watch. There are also benches to rest for a while. The prices are fair.

Sehr interessant, wirklich ein Erlebnis. Kinder waren zufrieden und begeistert. Kaffee und Kuchen im Restaurant hinterher, sehr guter Abschluss.

Auf jeden Fall. Das ist etwas für Kinder jeden Alters. Da gibt es so viel zu entdecken und auch einen kleinen Spielplatz im Außengelände.
