Phenomenal birder and person. Going birding with Christian was my family's absolute favorite thing about our visit. He is a talented naturalist with his identifications of birds and other animals. He has fun energy and a great sense of humor too. If you're looking for a guide he won't disappoint!

I was on a night tour with Christian and it was a delight!
Christian brings an atmosphere of fun and ease while still being super professional and interesting! His knowledge and experience is immense and he doesn't hold back on great jokes 😄
immediately he got the group feeling like one big warm family and took us for a wild adventure in the dark jungle. We saw snakes, a tarantula, colorful frogs and more.

Christian Menas was very knowledgeable about all the birds and nature. He brought a telescope to take a better look at the birds. He helped take pictures on our phone from telescope.

Christian was out bird guide in the Curi-Cancha preserve and was truly amazing. With his guidance we were able to see the indigenous birds and get some great pictures. Christian was very caring, respectful and a true gentleman that knows and loves his craft!

If I could give this tour guide 10 stars I would! Christian was very conscientious and thorough, always engaging with us and genuinely interested to ensure that we had the best experience possible. To say that he went above and beyond would be an understatement. We started by hiring Christian for a night walk tour, which was amazing, to say the least. The next day we embarked on a seven-hour birdwatching tour at Curi-Cancha Reserve, finishing with an amazing experience at San Luis. There is no need to list all of the birds that we saw as it would be exhaustive. The main thing you need to know is that Christian will give you 100% of his attention and will provide you the best possible birding experience you could have. A big plus with this guy is that he will ensure that your group is small. That is essential to have the best experience. He is very knowledgeable and has over 20 years of experience as a background.

My wife and I booked a night tour with Christian in Monteverde and we had the best time. Christian was knowledgeable, charismatic and enthusiastic about his job. We were lucky enough to see plenty of wildlife and Christian even helped other guides to spot his finds along the way. Highly recommended.

We were so lucky that Christian had a cancellation, when we were looking for a bird guide in the Monteverde area! He took us to several places and was able to get us up close looks at many of our target birds. He was very personable and we felt totally comfortable and safe with him. I would highly recommend him as a guide and hope to bird with him again one day.

Christian is such a great guide and his passion for nature really made our experience unforgettable in Monteverde. He has so much knowledge about the wildlife and nature, and was so easy going and made our visit to Monteverde even better. He speaks perfect English, has a great sense of humour and knows every best place to spot birds or wildlife at night.
Would highly recommend for everyone who wants a unique experience.

Christian provided an amazing private tour for my spouse and myself at the Monteverde Refuge. His knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and history is stupendous. Christian has a great relationship with the other guides and provides/shares sighting information in real-time for the benefit of everyone. We viewed snakes, frogs, toucans, hummingbirds, monkeys, and a variety of insects. Highly recommend!

What an unbelievable experience I had on this night tour. Christian is such an experienced guide - during the two hour tour he knew exactly where to look for all the natural life. We saw white faced monkeys and a sloth, we saw Mott Mott’s, nesting hummingbirds (not in flight) and Tucans, we saw Kinkajus, red eyed trees frogs, a Watson’s climbing rat and the local flying turkey! We saw scorpions, viper snakes and spiders the size of my palm with hair as my furry as my head, yet not poisonous! We saw an owl, and a baby lizard that will grow to the largest species in the country. Christian is a wonderful professional with years of experience and great guiding skills! Reserve a tour - you likely won’t be disappointed, but it is nature so it’s all a game of chance! Enjoy!! Thank you, Christian!
