We set up a birthday party for our high school daughter here. They were very cooperative and let us bring our own food, cake, and sodas. They also served wine and drinks for the grown-ups. The instructor/host was a lot of fun. That is probably a key factor here - getting a good host. And also be willing to do something outside your comfort zone. Some of us did a great job with their rendition of this piece of art and others...as you can see from the photos...took some poetic license.

I signed up for this session because it was closer to 'home' than others I've participated in Downtown Denver. I had high hopes for a super fun & interactive instructor, since I was taking someone who had never done this before. Started out ok, but, throughout our instructor gave us very little direction, he was more into his own painting, than helping us. He was 5 steps ahead of us at all times, the music they were playing wasn't 'fun' but more like elevator music :( I was bummed at the end, mostly because this was my friends' first experience. I've been involved in other Paint & Sip type places that were super fun, interactive, and the paintings turned out pretty good because the instructor helped. That's why I give this place a 3 star and an overwhelming meh ... unfortunately.

Fun music and great instructor. We had 6 in the party and they found space for us to sit together. I have no skill with painting but the instructor walked us through step by step and made it lots of fun.

We've been here several times since moving to Highlands Ranch a year ago. It's a great place to blow off a little steam while getting creative. This venue is HIGHLY dependent on your instructor...we've had several classes with Laura that were awesome. She takes her time and goes above and beyond to gently guide you through the painting process. We've had one class with another instructor who appeared to seriously be partaking in some edibles prior to her session as it was thoroughly disjointed and more appropriate for a class of kinders than a room of grown women. I do not think we need to 'name' our brushes...round brush, flat brush all work fine. Regardless, we had fun and enjoyed ourselves. Sometimes you are relegated to simply looking at the sample and trying your best to make it come out 'good'. If you need lots of instruction and guidance and feedback, perhaps going to the movies might be a better choice. The classes with Laura are awesome though! This is a great event for small groups. They are not stingy with the paint and play very cool music. There is a decent selection of wines. They also allow outside food as I recall. Once there were a group of women having a bridal shower...very fun.
