Great temple to visit in the middle of the city. Great atmosphere with lot of Ganesha story and pictures depicted all over. A place not to be missed when in town. Please note photography is prohibited inside temple, but can carry inside the bag.

Typical South Indian styled temple. Being from western India it's a new experience to us. Liked the holy place. My actual visit is in 2017.

A very Divine place very close to the Promenade Beach. Walking distance from Aurobindo Ashram. Evenings it can become crowded.

This temple is so beautifully decorated, that it’s just a pleasure to walk in, sit on the floor and look around. The little stories of Ganesha are sculptured on the walls around you and are amazingly done with so much details and color. The ceiling outside is stunning. And it’s a very clean temple, unlike many where the rails rake over much of the space.

This beautiful temple is over half a thousand years old. It is dedicated to Ganesha. Colorful and ornate with elaborate carvings. Seems to be popular with the locals and very crowded

Its very big but neat and clean and when we visited it was less crowd so we had very beautiful darshan, Interior is amazing to see.

Is the temple has any specific opening & closing time..? If not what's ideal time to visit I will be coming in month of April.

The temple would open around 5:30 AM and closes at 12 noon. In the evening, it opens around 4 PM and would close by 9:30 PM. These are regular timings of all South Indian temples. Though evenings are preferred, there can be some crowd at that time. But, you can get some prasad also (pongal, curd rice) in the evening.
