The people who are in charge of answering the phone and the very, very clumsy, and inoperative entrances. Pathetic management. Guide, and cave, excellent certainly.

Careful if you're traveling with children. I took tickets and at no time asked age of the minor (apparently the INFO comes out in condition) when I went to do validation they told me that if you are under 7 years old you could not enter. We were given no choice for refund or exchange and of course I lost the money. Too bad because the one I was most excited about was the boy.
Bad information when taking tickets. Be careful.
We were given another option to see the museum but of course paying for a different entrance fee was included visits to another cave if the child could enter but be careful you are told to climb 300 steps

Nature has made a wonder, man has created art within and Paul, the Guide, has brought us closer to the man of that time from the human vision of man of any age.
No magic or esotericism, just outstanding men.
It delights his explanation and enthusiasm even if he has had to deal with a disrespectful Teuton.
Thank you.

I would like to express my displeasure with the organization of the cancellation of the visit to Tito Bustillo cave due to flooding on Friday, September 27th. They didn't let me know by phone or email and we drove 4 hours back and forth for nothing. Also, on the spot we were made to pay admission to the museum, which had no interest.

We had the chance to visit several caves of the Paleolithic, this one frankly disappointed us: 20' of walking underground, 20' past the single wall of drawings, 20' of walking back.
I imagine the Impression is very different when it's the first one you visit?
We were also not helped by the Guide, who did not stop for a second to speak at full speed in Spanish, when a good part of our group was only very medium Spanish-speaking, which he did not care.

It was not possible to enter the original cave where there are cave paintings. But the visit to the museum was exceptional! A modern museum ,well done ,interesting ,simple to use but spectacular .
deepens the topics and involves . congratulations also on how it is handled.

Guide named Pablo is a nefarious Pro. We traveled almost four hours from Galicia with great enthusiasm, as I studied rock art and Tito Bustillo is a world treasure of prehistoric art. However, this expensive Guide with very little desire to do YOUR job well gave us a mediocre experience:
- For starters, we validate the tickets in the interpretation center more than an hour in advance, as set by the rules. The visit started at 15:30 and we arrived at the cancilla just at 15:24. For the piggy bank was locked and Paul had already left with the group and was at the entrance to the cave, and had begun the explanations. We had to wave the piggy bank and yell for him to come open. I find it a total lack of respect, courtesy, and love for the noble profession of the Tour Guide, not to start punctual at the right time. In the morning on the visit to Cuevona, Paul also touched us, and he did the same to other people who were waving the cancilla. I repeat: we arrived on time, and from there five minutes earlier. And he was already giving his speech to the group without us. A rude man.
Pablo’s explanations were entirely chamacan, lack of professionalism, barely any quality information. In an hour of visiting he gave literally 4 facts about art history, the rest was rambling, making jokes, and even talking about politics!! He did not explain what Magdalenian is, the different periods of rock art, types of figurative and nonfigurative representations that are in the cave, structure, rooms and artistic contents of the caves... nothing!!
He often went in the lead giving explanations to the two or three people who walked with him, in personal conversation, while the rest of the group walked behind without knowing. I could hear a child and his mother explaining something about the diet in Paleolithic. What disrespect and what unprofessionalism! Explanations are given to the whole group!
What hurt me the most by far: I TEACH ALMOST NOTHING. Six or seven figures, on the horse panel, nothing more. I asked him what percentage of Tito Bustillo figures he taught us, and he admitted about 2% himself. He said there was no more time. But instead if you give time to wander, make jokes to laugh at a child and his mother, talk about topics that have nothing to do with the visit, and explain practically nothing from the point of view of art historiography? Shame on you. Is this why we went from Galicia? We have not come to do caving, we have come to see rock art gentlemen!! The feeling with which I leave, is to visit and travel completely untapped. With the feeling of not having squeezed the experience at all. I'll have to settle for the images in my art history textbooks.
It gives me the feeling that we were unlucky with the guide who played us, that this gentleman wanted to collect his salary, but work little. By the way: my review is not ballad, since I am currently a teacher in tourism cycles, in the past I worked as a Tourism Guide, and to older people I am currently a student of art history. Therefore I am able to evaluate the work of a Guide.
Tito Bustillo is not to blame, it is one of the cathedrals of rock art. I just hope the rest of the visitors have better luck with the Guide that touches them.

A wonderful experience, the cave itself is stunning. In our case we have Alida, a wonderful Guide who accompanied us and knew how to move us to the time when the paintings were made, has given us the context and created an environment as magical as our ancestors lived. One of the best guided tours we have done without a doubt. Thanks Alina.

Spectacular cave with prehistoric paintings. Highly recommended to visit the museum next to it before or after the cave to put the experience into context. It was my second visit but first for my wife. The museum has improved a lot in recent years. There is also a nice but more expensive than in town restaurant with really fine views of Ribadesella estuary and surrounding mountains.

It is advisable to purchase tickets online in advance. They must be validated at the Rock Art Center. If it is Wednesday, admission is free. They are very restricted tickets, passes for 15 people.
The visit is comfortable, but there may be mud in some sections.
If you are in Ribadesella, you can't miss it.
It is advisable to complete the visit with the Art Center and the Ardines Cave.

How does one book a ticket to the Cueva for 2025? The websites I have been able to locate are for 2023 and before but I do see a TripAdvisor posting for 2024. Thanks!

How long does it take to visit these Cuevas de Tito Bustillo? Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
Đã viết vào 24 tháng 11, 2015
Sorry for the delay in answer. I just see your question today. You have to plan for around one hour to one and a half depending of your interest. The visit to the caves itself is around half an hour but if you plan to visit the museum that is intersesting , you will need more time.
You have to arrive in advance since you have to pick the tickets at the museum to go into the caves and walk back to the caves that is a 5-10 minutes walk. If you do not arrive on time to pick up your tickets they will be sold to another visitor. Enjoy your visit.
