Went to see Alistair Macgowan and Jasper Carrot in their travelling show. Very impressed by the theatre, seats are comfortable, view is good from most places, volunteer staff are great, decor of theatre is truly splendid.
From outside it's a bit like an old brick warehouse, with a burglar deterrant door, but inside it's charming. The bar is small and it's not easy to get a drink, but that is part of the quirky charm of the place.
Criticism-- not enough toilets, especially for the women.

I have been to see various shows at this little theater and thurally enjoyed every one of them. It was fully restored to its forma glory a few years ago and it is still run by volunteers. My wife uses a wheelchair and we have had no problems with access just tell them when you book your tickets, what a gem.

What a beautiful little theatre. Decor is worth a visit alone. We saw the 'Totally Tina' show. Full money's worth, and if the tour visits your area - don't miss it. As for the Majestic - we will return soon. One minor drawback is the bar for alchohol is upstairs - so not too friendly if your legs don't work too well. Friendly efficient staff - the whole set up deserves your support whatever the show.

great theatre run mainly on volunteers have some great shows seating is ideal plentey spaces for wheel chairs very friendly easy to get there from car parks not too expensive

A wonderful, old fashionded playhouse / theatre. Not that many left now, but run by volunteers and Majestic helpers.
It's a little like stepping back in time, but an intense atmosphere is always generated by a full house.

Went here with friends recently and really enjoyed the show. Good sound and good sight lines to the stage. Run by volunteers and prices are budget friendly.

Third visit to this wonderful little theatre to see the Illegal Eagles. The sound was fantastic, the band, as ever, were amazing and the staff make this a great night out. Looking at other shows and don't mind the journey Doncaster as we just have the right venue or quality of shows.

Old but friendly little theatre in Retford. All the volunteer staff are friendly and the shows varied. I have only been once to watch my step-grandaugher in "Neverland". There is somewhere to get a drink at the interval and the seats are comfy. Parking the car can be a nightmare though so get there early. We went on a Saturday matinee and parking was horrendous. Great old fashioned theatre that's worth a visit.

A gem of a theatre, run by volunteers. Old fashioned but still wonderful, been several times and never had a bad experience.

Hi. Magic are performing on 27th May at the Majestic. Tickets £20 each. If you are booking online the page took a while to load properly but it looks like tickets are still available.
