Very nice sales help and good selection. Dutera ceramics in many typical patterns and some modern designs. Shipping to US costs about as much as purchase.

This is not the first time I have been to MOD - I find a reason to go to Deruta solely for the opportunity to visit. I have a full pattern of dinnerware from them, customized to my likes and continue to add to that set. The artistic pieces are amazing and you have to be reminded that all of this is done by hand. This is a family operation and is warm, welcoming and accommodating. They can create anything in clay!

My wife and I took the opportunity to order a very colorful pitcher and a personalized Christmas Landscape Ball. Fantastic communication via Giacomo, shipping (common sense and quite effective packaging) and outstanding products. As you can add text to the Christmas Landscape Ball we added our names, date, and number to begin our annual add of special handcrafted ornaments. Additionally, the pitcher we ordered was beautiful on screen, but the colorful beauty of the actual product is stupendous. Another great job craftsmen and crafts ladies of MOD.

Vorrei ringraziare MOD per il rifacimento del piatto della primervera. Il ricevente era molto grato. Il set dei piatti era un regalo da un parente della famiglia ma questo piatto è rotto molti anni fa. Dopo alcune domande (online) ho chiesto e comprato quello piatto. Quando è arrivato, ho visto, che l'uomo era quasi in lacrime. Grazie!

I would like to thank MOD for the replacement of the spring plate. The recipient was most grateful. The plate set was a gift from a relative of his family, but this one broke many years ago. After some questions (online) I asked and bought a replacement plate. When it arrived, I saw that the man was almost in tears. Thank you!

We dropped in “Maioliche originali” last September, looking for presents to bring back from Deruta, a place known for its ceramics since the Middle Ages. We expected a gift shop but we found ourselves in a showroom that looked more like a gallery than a shop. The place was full of lovely ceramic pieces, in traditional (in some cases the patterns were 800 years old) and contemporary design. There was much for every taste, from individual objects (we were most interested in tableware) to whole dinner sets and even tabletops. The choice of objects to bring back was quite difficult. The owner, however, was very kind and patiently answered all our questions about the origin of patterns and manufacture, and thus facilitated our choice. In fact, she even invited us to visit the workshop, where we were able to follow the manufacturing process from the raw material up to the finished product. If you happen to be in the area of Assisi, do take a detour. It is definitely worth a visit.

I first visited MOD in 2001 and have returned almost every year since. My preference is for contemporary crafts and so I was surprised to discover that I loved these ceramics. I began purchasing pieces that first year and each time I return, I buy more. The historical designs are lovely and Grazia and her family have broadened the line over the years by developing new designs and adding new items such as lamps, sculptures, and wall hangings. The quality of the work is superb. MOD will ship purchases anywhere in the world. I have had many things shipped to the U.S. over the years and have had no problems, except for one shipment that included a broken bowl. I sent Grazia a picture of the bowl and she replaced it immediately. I highly recommend MOD.

The famous ceramics from Deruta are well known around the world. To experience visiting the artisan shops and watch centuries-old hand crafting of these lovely ceramics is a great experience. When ever I am nearby I stop by MOD to visit their store and artists. It’s ALWAYS a worthwhile visit and some of the most beautiful hand crafted ceramics in all of Italy at a fair price.

Again we are very pleased with the great service MOD offers. They even make arrangements for you outside the normal ceramic purchase. Also their designs are different from the ordinary Deruta pottery, they are elegant and truly handmade.
I highly recommend to visit them; you will get intrigued by them..
