Kusuma-sarovara is situated just at the back of Uddhava-kunda, where they have very beautiful deities of Uddhava-ji, Radha and Krishna. Here this is an another temple, which is good because from this side of Govardhan hill this is the only one temple of Uddhava.

The temple is dedicated to Uddhava, who was Krishna’s closest friend and confidant. Uddhava had a long association with Vrindavan as mentioned in the Bhagvatam and other Puranas.
It is believed that after Krishna had completed his work on earth and had left his mortal body, his many wives were overcome with grief and gathered on the banks of Yamuna. Yamuna told them to seek Uddhava’s help. They went to Uddhava and asked him to make them see Krishna one last time. It was at Kusum Sarovar where Uddhava, along with all of Krishna’s wives, organized a month-long Bhagvatam reading and satsanga and by its power invoked Krishna. Krishna appeared before his wives and their souls merged with Krishna and went with him. Therefore, the temple houses the statue of Uddhava holding the Bhagvatam, along with the statues of ‘Yamuna’ and Krishna’s wife ‘Rukmani. There is also the statue of Krishna’s great-grandson ‘Vajranabh’.
The temple is located inside the Kusum Sarovar campus, which is about half an hour away from Vrindavan. The Kusum Sarovar itself is an extremely beautiful work of architecture and also quite peaceful. One can even spend an entire day there, just imbibing the peaceful environs. As for the Uddhava temples, it is a must visit given its historical importance and uniqueness.
