I was going to be in Sth Korea for 7 days and decided on taking a guided trip. Unable to find one to suit the dates I emailed Hana Tours. They customized a trip for me covering everything I wanted and some of their suggestions. Every step of the way their staff were excellent. They provided english speaking guides who also took us to traditional Korean restaurants and had us booked into hotels in great locations. To top it off the price was excellent for such a personal trip.

The holographic concerts itself are worth the price of the ticket. Watched Psy and the G Dragon concert which was done superbly. It felt like it was a real concert. The whole place was over 3 storeys and there were a lot of interactive displays

We took the volcanic forces tour while in jeju in November 2016. Peter was our guide and provided a very informative, enjoyable tour. We started out at this waterfall followed by the jungmann cliffs. This area is along the coast and the cliffs were created from volcanic activity. Resembles very much the big island on Hawaii in volcanoes national park with its lava sea cliffs. Too bad it was chilly and very windy. Then we headed for lunch and enjoyed a many course Korean meal including hot pot, rice, kimchi, and other sides. We weren't able to go to dragon head rock area since rides were too high so we were re-routed to a tea museum. There we bought some hot drinks, although quite expensive, and took pics of the tea fields and took a shot tour through the museum. We also went to a tangerine farm and got to pick our own bag of tangerines. Be careful not to cut your finger with the shears. Our tour ended at the natural history and folk museum of jeju. Interesting place to visit. There are is a large room depicting all stages of life on jeju with large mannequins, props, and scenery. I preferred this to the close to 5 foot creepy looking fish skeleton with sharp teeth out front near the museum entrance. Since we were staying in seogwipo, we were advised by hanatour to meet at the jungmann tourist office building. The rest of the group was staying in jeju city hotels, but then we were the last pick up so we didn't have to rise as early a dew were the first drop off heading back from the tour too.

1. Airport pickup, Vehicle, guide- Sara: excellent
2. Value for money
3. The Stone park: good
4. The Seoung Eup folk village: got cheated here - not taken to this stop- but a small Jeju home. However the host here was quite jovial!
5. Lunch: excellent
6. Seongsan mountain/Diving women: if you are fit, you will be able to do both activities within 50 minutes
7. Manjanggul lava tube: great experience. The geological wonder has been too much commercialised, with visible ducts/ led lights and at some places even street lights!

We pre-booked the Cultural Heritiage Unesco tour on the Internet a few weeks before we travelled to Jeju, and thought it was excellent value for what we paid. We were picked up from our hotel in Seogwipo in the morning and travelled in a mini bus with six other people. The guide who drove was very interesting and informative. We were taken first to Jeju Stone Park, which is a sculpture park with many interesting parts, teaching all about the islands volcanic history and much more. Unfortunately it was the worst possible day weather wise, wet and very windy which spoilt things. We then went on to the Folk Village which was also very interesting, and from there to a place for lunch. This was a Jeju black Pork stew which was delicious with all the usual Korean side dishes. After lunch we went to Seongsan Sunrise Peak and climbed up the many steps the top. The weather was awful and the view was sadly very misty, and we were buffeted by strong winds. After this we were taken to the Manjanggul Lava Tube which was incredible, and our guide led us through and provided lots of information. By now we were all dripping wet, and the inside of the tube is also dripping with puddles, so we felt cold and damp. This day trip was really good even with the poor weather, so on a nice sunny day it would have been amazing. We would also have seen the women divers who we missed due to the inclement weather. I would highly recommend this tour both for the amount of sightseeing and information and for the great value it provided.

I am a Korean-American and have been to Korea many times including Jeju Island. After recently getting married, my wife having never been to Korea wanted to visit the country as part of our honeymoon. I figured the easiest way for me to show her all the lovely places on the island and the wonderful foods Jeju has to offer would be through a tour company. Hana Tours, being one of the largest in Korea, was a natural choice.
This was a mistake.
If there was an option to give a negative rating we would. First of all, as a Korean, I am ashamed that all the foreigners coming to visit Jeju through Hana Tours or most of the other tour companies do not get to experience the traditional foods of the island. My wife and I were expecting to try all the delicacies of the island that Jeju is known for: silver beltfish dishes, abalone, jeju pork, etc. However, we were taken to a place where they served 3500won (roughly $3) bi-bim-bap that you can get anywhere in Korea for both trips. Some of the foreigners on the trip asked us if bi-bim-bap was the staple food and we had to explain to them no. Moreover, the guides were surprised that we could speak Korean fluently and despised us explaining the truth of the experience that they were being provided with to other travelers.
Second, the tour is supposed to be a full service tour, meaning they drop you off back at the hotel. However, our hotel being on the Southern part of the island, they dropped us off at a bus station in Jeju City and told us to take a bus. We had to stand for 40 minutes due to no seating on our ride back to the Hyatt Regency.
Finally, the guides were not knowledgeable. We had to Google ourselves to understand to significance of each landmark.
The entire experience would be comparable to going to Rome and being fed Sbarro pizza and being taken on tours by someone who didnt know the landmarks telling you its just 'very famous' and being dropped off at a station to walk back to your hotel.
After sharing my experience with the concierge at the Hyatt Regency, even they apologized to us saying that they are shamed that there are tour companies like this serving tgeir guests. They recommended us a new tour and guided us to good reataurants that even had free car service from and back to the hotel. If it wasnt for the concierge team at the Hyatt, our entire trip would've been ruined here.
