The reception at this hotel is very rude and unpleasant. No elevator and no help offered with luggage. The wall to wall carpet is filthy. The bathroom totally run down as is the refrigerator. Everything is at least 40 years old. The view on the golf course was exquisite. Breakfast mediocre with glued ham and ‘plastic’ cheese. The bar area is pleasant and has a good ambiance. Only stay there when you had a stiff drink. At check out for which I waited half an hour, the lady was again very unpleasant!!!!

Nous avons loué une chambre dans cet hôtel car proche de la salle où nous étions invités pour une fête. Hôtel très très basique, le sport centre est mieux décoré! Personnel très agréable et sympathique, chambres saines et propres, mais aucun goût ou connaissance en décoration...

Where to start with this place? Well, let's try. It's not a hotel. It's a sports centre. Alongside the sports centre is another industrial building with a bar, and dreadful, dreadful rooms. Arrive between 5 and 8pm and the car park is full. Apart that is from an entire row closest to the hotel reserved for the golf club president, captain, vice captain, committee....etc etc... All very golfy, all there empty all week just incase any of the pringle wearing dictators turn up. 'Hotel' guests, pah! Let them park in the street. The place is tired, not very clean and stinks of sporting liniment. A bit like school, but my school at least was much, much nicer. The bar is full of extremely LOUD golfers. I hate golf. The stairs to the room are lethally wobbly and the room...terrible. Nasty stained tartan carpet, a bathroom with no door, no shower curtain, low headroom, no shades on the skylight to obscure the prison like floodlights. In short, this place sucks, big time. …

Le Golf hôtel a été choisi sur carte car proche de notre lieu de réunion. Le critère localisation était important le jour annuel de la course de chevaux de Waregem. La prochaine fois, je m’installerai un peu plus loin et certainement mieux. Expérience décevante : l’accès à l’hôtel est mal fléché, le parking non accessible, il faut utiliser le parking du golf à 150 mètres, très pratique avec des bagages sous la pluie Chambre dessinée par un architecte en état d’ivresse : l’armoire ne s’ouvre que si vous bougez d’abord le lit, la salle de bains très peu pratique mais surtout c’est sale. Dans un pays où tout est propre de partout, cela se remarque d’autant plus. Un mégot de cigarette non ramassé sou le lit, moquettes non aspirées, serviettes de bain ‘âgées’, etc.
