I was attending a celebration at the Peat Inn but didn’t wish to stay there due to the breakfast concept. Bowhill was only a few minutes drive or 15 minute walk. Beautiful home and country side, semi rural location. Bedroom spotless and spacious, lovely comfy bed, beautiful bathroom and wonderful views, lovely luxury toiletries. Breakfast - buffet starters followed by freshly cooked local produce. Breakfast room gorgeous and again wonderful country views. Excellent value for money, lovely host. Thank you Jo, can’t wait to return!
I booked Bowhill B&B because The Peat Inn rooms were fully booked. When we arrived down a very long drive we were both quiet as we didn’t know what to expect. We entered the reception and was met by Jo and she instantly put us both at ease with her easy going manner and warm welcome. She showed us to our room which was beautiful, clean, bright, tastefully decorated. The icing on the cake for my girlfriend was the enamelled bath with clawed feet. As soon as we were given the tour around the dining room and lounge my girlfriend was straight into the bathroom bubbles in the bath and that was it for half hour. The dining room and lounge is bright and spacious with stunning views across the east Nuek of Fife, there is a complimentary bar and a fresh ground coffee machine. There is also lots of different fruit and berry teas on offer. We also met John (t’other half) who again was great he was very pleasant and chatty. I had to ask for a bottle opener as there wasn’t one available. I jokingly asked if that is how you save money on complimentary beer by leaving no bottle openers? Fortunately for a Lancastrian he saw the funny side. The bed was terrific and and we had a great sleep. The breakfast was marvelous and very tasty. After breakfast jo and John showed us around the other rooms, which are all very luxurious and decorated to a very high standard. We said our goodbyes on Sunday, I will guarantee we will be back. Simply excellent accommodation. …
