I visited this place on my way back from Jaffna. Beautiful place with a peaceful view ..clean and well maintained rooms. I enjoyed the food and the service. The manager and the front office staff was courteous and efficient. Will definitely come back again with my family. Highly recommended for a family outing. Specially when returning from villpattu and Madu.

overall, I could'nt have asked for a better experience. Whether you're here for business or leisure, I highly recommend thabowwa lake resort for it's fantastic service, comfort, and attention to detail. I will definitely be returning. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. I especially appriciated Mr Shilanth for his assistance and exceptional service where he din't fail to make us feel like home.

Lovely ambience as it is located by the thabbowa lake. However , the upkeep n service is much to be desired as it seems that the resident manager ( owners son) is clueless about the hospitality industry and has no clue about the wants of guests. The staff try to serve as best as they could but remarks fall into deaf ears it appears . The toilet fittings were falling apart , the toilet door had no knobs and could not be locked. None of the garden pathway lights seem to work so it was pitch dark. Also they have a bar, some people come and get drunk and misbehave and are a threat to the resident guests.TV was not working. They were not familiar with making a decent cup of tea, no butter or jam for breakfast.
I would not take the family again and would certainly not recommend to anyone else either as we had a very bad experience with drunkards trying to force open room doors ! Very bad experience and it was very unsafe for us. The resident manager seemed not to care , to him it was just one of those incidents so long as they made their income from the sale of booze

Resort maintenance is very poor. No hot water all hot water geisers are removed, bathroom mirror light missing, toilet seat broken, shower cubical bottom walls all with fungus black colour, bathroom towel hangers broken / missing etc......

Had Terrible experience TV was not working Pool was not cleaned for months Rooms full of insects and smelly. Some Doors were broken Location is beautiful but hotel was not maintained at all Food was good
