Located about 3km south of the horse statue in Lingshan, on a short side street and overlooking farm land. Lots of onsite parking, efficient reception, pleasant & welcoming staff (we received complimentary tea while just relaxing in the lobby), one medium-sized elevator, carpeted hallways, medium-sized rooms, well furnished, large bathrooms but no separate shower stall (everything gets wet!), good food and service in the restaurant. When I say "off the beaten track", that means it's about 1km back to the main city road, there are a few other restaurants in the neighbourhood and one convenience store about 100m away.
In recent times when traveling to Lingshan I have stayed at the Lingshan International Hotel which is quite average. This time we choice the Zhengjui hotel after we noticed it after eating at the restaurant and enjoying tea in the tea shop in front of the hotel on the main road. The cost is quite reasonable at RMB190 per night. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The bathroom large and clean. The bed was also quite comfortable and a surprise as it wasn't the usual hard board sleep I expect in such Chinese hotels. We will stay at the Zhengjiu as a matter of choice from now on. Don't forget to try the tea shop the staff are happy to make tea and chat as they rarely get foreign visitors.
