IGUANA HOTEL (La Descubierta) - Đánh giá Khách sạn

À l’entrée de la ville de La Descubierta, sur la rue principale, un petit hôtel tenu par une sympathique famille haïtienne. L’hôtel dispose d’un parking, un patio sous le manguier. La chambre dispose d’air conditionné et la salle de bain a un lavabo et une douche. Le lit est confortable. Toute la chambre est très propre. Le petit déjeuner est en plus et à la demande. L’ambiance est familiale. Le rapport qualité/prix est excellent. Je recommande cet hôtel dans cette jolie petite ville.

For seasoned backpackers only...

I paid $8/night. Cash only. Rooms are small, cell-like, and stuffy. No A/C, which is a huge problem. No decent food options in La Descubierta, which is also a problem. Best bet for food is to arrange meals with owners of Iguana Hotel, who are very nice people. Rooms are very clean. Shower had FREEZING water. Toilet had no seat. There are other hotels in La Descubierta, but Rough Guide said Iguana was the best. Room has a small fan which blows hot air at you, making it tough to get comfortable or fall asleep. If I had to do it over again, I'd stay in Neyba and take the guagua to La Descubierta to do Lago Enriquillo and Cueva de Caritas. You are forewarned...

Excelente relación calidad-precio

Las habitaciones son sencillas y limpias, tienen todo lo básico para pasar la noche y a ese precio esta super bien. Pagamos $500 pesos por una habitación para dos personas (10 dolares!). Es la mejor opción si quieres ir al Lago Enriquillo o cualquier otro lugar de la zona. La señora y su hija son bien agradables te hacen sentir como parte de la familia.

Simple y Encantador

Es el lugar perfecto para alojarse al momento de hacer excursiones, ya que uno puede descansar y relajarse para seguir el camino. Tienen un área de parqueo seguro donde pueden dejar sus vehículos, incluye el desayuno. Las habitaciones son sencillas con camas cómodas. Todo muy limpio y organizado. Me encantó la experiencia ahora a seguir con el viaje.

The best hotel in DM so far

I absolutely loved this place. So much that I changed my plans and stayed one extra night. The village has about 10000 habitants, everybody knows each other and there's virtually no crime. The owners of the hotel -an old couple- and their daughter are absolutely AMAZING! She cooked for me, looked after me and made sure I was well looked after throughout the village. The rooms are VERY simple and there is not hot water, so, if you are looking for a swanky hotel this is not the place for you, but if you were looking for a swanky hotel you wouldn't be staying in La Descubierta. However, if you want to experience a real Dominican Village and true Dominican hospitality come and stay at La Iguana Hotel! They are not on Booking.com and up can't find the telephone number online, but here it is: +1(809)958-7636. Direct guaguas from and to Santo Domingo every hour for 400DOP and it takes roughly 4/5 hours. Come and see Lago Enriquillo and the countryside around here: Emanuel (+1 (809) 815-8162) is the best guide you could hope for. Give him a call in advance to organise tours. …
