Worst front desk reception ever. The front desk guy is not responsive, not smiley, and more. POOR reception ever! And trust me I travel a lot. I do not recommend this hotel just because of that day receptionist guy.

Je me suis fait volé dans ma chambre d’hôtel et j’ai eu la confirmation que c’était par un employé de l’hôtel. Je n’ai jamais récupéré l’objet volé ni eu aucune compensation que ce soit de la part de l’hôtel. Une plainte à la police est en cours.

My wife and I booked this hotel, really last minute, for our wedding anniversary. This hotel offers a Romance Package. The package comes with sparkling wine, sweets, 4 course supper at their "in-house" restaurant and breakfast. We decided to splurge and get the bigger room called a "Loft" . It has a King bed, sofa bed and a kitchenette and dining table. The bathroom was probably bigger than some hotel rooms I have been in. The Hotel was very clean and smelled nice. The room was also very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very nice and comfortable and the pillows were amazing. I really cannot find anything bad to write about the rooms. Here come the little things that bring my rating down and was a little irritating. I think this hotel was probably very new and maybe staffing is difficult because the hotel is in an industrial area and probably lacks mass transportation. I do not know. All I do know is that I found the staff when I checked in, lacking in experience. It took a little longer to check us in. It looked like the gentleman handling the computer did not really know what he was doing. That is ok. I forgive him, it takes a while to get used to computer systems. After we checked in, we went to our room and noticed that the sparkling wine and sweets were not there to greet us when entering. I am not sure how that was supposed to work but you would expect that care would be taken to receive guests buying the special package. So I called the reception and notified them that we did not have anything in our room. The young lady that answered verified and said that she would take care of it. We left it at that. This was approximately 4pm. At 7pm, we had made reservation to eat at the in-house restaurant/bar. The place was also nicely decorated with ambiance music playing. Staff all looked and acted professional. It did however take a long time to be served, but luckily we were not in that much of a rush. It seemed that the restaurant was not prepared to accommodate someone taking the romance package. The menu was a crunched up piece of paper and because they were not ready, they also lacked 1 out of 3 choices for the package meal. The choices were not very appealing, so we asked if we could order from the regular menu. After a few minutes, the waitress came back and said no. She could have tried to find a middle ground and offer us to pay the difference but she didn't. We then asked if that would be a possibility. So she left once more and came back and said ok. We ended up getting the Bavette de beouf covered with a chimichurri sauce with fries or veggies. The food was a 9.5/10. That Chimichurri sauce was amazing and gave a swirl of flavours with each bite. The fresh warm bread, the salad and desert were also very good. We went back to our room and still no sparkling wine and sweets. I put in another call and got a bottle on ice within 20 minutes. (no sweets) We had a very restful night and in the morning got dressed and headed towards the restaurant. As we passed in front of the front desk, we were told by the person that the restaurant is not open on Sundays and that there was a glitch in the website and that we should not have been able to book the romance package on a Saturday to Sunday booking. Instead, the restaurant had put aside two boxed breakfasts consisting of a yogurt, 2 mini chocolatines, a mini apple turnover and 5 cubes of cheese and some cut up fruit. We ate them in our room and made some coffee with the Nespresso machine included in the room. When we checked out, the front desk clerk apologized for the mess up and gave us a rebate. The rebate was respectful but no amount of money could replace an expectation in service or product delivery. The important thing was to spend some quality time with my wife. Mission accomplished. The rest was just extra.…
