A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is every 30 minutes, the road takes 5-7 minutes. From Schiphol you can take a bus to city center- Rijksmuseum (about 20-30 minutes) or a train to Central Station (10-15 minutes).
Stayed here the end of July. Nice hotel, EXCEPT- Had a hard time finding shuttle bus stop. It is about stop 12-13. Out of the main terminal exit, turn right and go to END of terminal building. Waited about 1/2 hour. My paper work did NOT have their phone #. Could not find ANY other restaurants in the area, as it's mainly a commercial area. Did spy a McDonald's sign on a tall pole, some distance away. Too far to walk. Dinner was a buffet, and at 27 Euro each, a bit pricey for us. Even a hamburger was about 17 Euro. Think there were sandwiches in a cooler near the bar, to take back to your room. Split a Caesar salad and an order of fries. You need to sign up for airport shuttle. 0800 one was full, so we opted for the 0730 one. A 2 pin adapter is all that is needed for any NON MOTORIZED appliance. Motorized appliances will also need a converter.
Anne Frank house is worth a visit. However, make an online reservation as far in advance as possible, as it fills up in a hurry. We made one for 1130 and stopped at a place called The Pancake Bakery, prior to the tour. At 1130, the line for the Anne Frank House was blocks long for admission w/o reservations. The Pancake Bakery was about 3 blocks to the left of the museum [facing entrance to museum]. Restrooms were clean, but crowded.
The hotel shuttle runs every 30 minutes from/ to hotel/ airport. But the tickets in the first floor of airport to Amsterdam Central. Then walk to Anne Frank house, it’s not far, but very pleasant and interesting.
