I travelled New Zealand for 6 months and have seen a large part of the country both North and South. I had the great fortune of staying at this wonderful bed & breakfast tucked away in a quite but accessible location. I truly can only claim to know what the authentic and unique kiwi way of life is in the south island after having stayed here.
Tranquil and yet fully equipped with everything for a comfortable stay, the property is a haven for the soul both inside its doors and around its garden. I was there in autumn and the garden is vibrantly coloured. It should be strikingly different through the season which makes this place a suitable place to stay all year round and multiple revisits.
But perhaps the single most wonderful part of my stay here was knowing my wonderful hosts. Kind, friendly and ever looking out to making my stay there all the more special, they quickly became more than just hosts but friends. Their welcoming hospitality is only matched by their delightful personalities.
For my next adventure I look forward to returning in winter to do some skiing as it is relatively close to several renowned ski fields. And for something more relaxed perhaps a honeymoon or even to host a wedding reception. The location and gorgeous surrounding makes the potential of this place endless. Whether you are looking for a place to rejuvenate your soul, share the kiwi experience with a loved one or a base for your next adventure Temuka Gardens B & B truly is a "Home Away from Home"
