This little spot in the middle of a very small town was a wonderful surprise and great treat. Scones are to die for... Yummmm, coffee was great and the service was fantastic, everything served with a smile. They truly were happy with you being there, and was very crowded, still smiled. Thank you for a great experience.
Mimi and Nikki (owners) were instantly like neighbors -- hospitable, friendly, helpful, genuine. The story of how they converted the old gas station into a coffee shop and renovated cabins is extraordinary. My husband is a builder so we noticed the detail. They are hostesses with all the right touches that make a bed and breakfast special; customized welcome with your name in the room, special shampoo and body wash in shower, drawers with miscellaneous items you might need plus books, DVDs and games. Outside patio area with umbrella and comfy chairs. There is no other place to consider in Squaw Valley -- minutes from the parks.
Our family of 7 stopped in for breakfast before going to Kings Canyon. I never would have expected such an adorable coffee cafe in such a rural setting. The coffee was excellent, the baked goods superb and the owner and staff were so friendly and treated everyone who came in like an honored guest. All the little details in their plating shows how much they care about their customers. Everything was beautifully displayed and the decor was a warm combination of contemporary and classic comfort. We all enjoyed it so much that we returned the next morning for breakfast again... fresh tender scones, bagels that were easy to eat, and coffee or fruit drinks to please the entire family! I would love to try their cabins and if we come back without the kids, we will.
Excellent endroit.
This place is adorable and perfect! I love the coffee shop and rooms. You should definitely stop on your way to Kings Canyon National Park. You will love the cafe and family who owns it. They make you feel at home! BTW, the scones and other homemade goodies are to die for. I felt the need to leave pictures, since it is so dang cute.
