We chose this place for a last minute weekend get away to see family and friends. This little hole is the wall place is proof sometimes you get more than you pay for. Our expectations weren’t very high for the price. To be honest I expected a dump. But boy was I pleasantly surprised. Let’s start with the lady that checked me in was really pleasant. Check in was super quick. Then moment I walked into my room I smelled bleach which thrilled me. That meant clean sheets. The room wasn’t the biggest room I’d ever been in but it was clean and that made up for the size. It has its own little balcony which was nice. If it had been warm my little girl could have gone out there and I wouldn’t need to worry about her running out into the parking lot. I had already known from previous stays at a motel 6 there was no microwave but that’s was ok for us since we were only staying one night. However I would have liked a coffee pot but there is a Wawa right up the street so it wasn’t the end of the world. My only real complaint was I love to take a hot show but the water only got warm. However I’m sure that would be ok for the average person. So if you’re looking for a bargain place to stay then I absolutely recommend looking into this place. …
Hmmm . . . Not sure how to rate this one. Situation: We have a pet so we needed a pet friendly place. Not many that cater to pets that are open in December. We just came to Somers Point spur of the moment to get away because we love OC, Somers Point, and Cape May. The room was incredibly clean, but incredibly old. The sheets on the bed felt like that were just out of the package. The towels were really think and cheap. Luckily, since we stayed on a Sunday night, it was really quiet. The location was good to where we needed to be. It was a great deal for the price, but not luxurious. It was only one night, so I could deal with it. Paul, at the front desk, was very nice. A good bang for your buck. (Room didn’t smell like a pet room which was a bonus; and a nice big empty lot adjoins the hotel, so there’s grassy area for the dog.)…
First time staying at a Motel 6 and was quite surprised. We stayed here because we had the dog and it was one of the few dog friendly hotels near Ocean city. Ended up being the best decision. Perfect location. Walking distance to Wawa, DQ and local restaurants. About a 5 min drive to the Longport dog beach. About 10 mins drive into ocean city. The place is clean and kept clean and the balcony off all the rooms is perfect for dogs too. Bathroom is a bit small but it was quite fine for a quick weekend getaway. Pillows are too flat though. Bed is comfortable. Area is nice for walking the dogs as well. AC is a bit loud and no microwave in the room but one in the lobby area not far from the room. Very quiet considering it’s dog friendly. Didn’t hear anything once you’re in the room. There is a dive bar across the street that plays loud music every night until 2am and we didn’t hear a thing in the room. You only heard the dogs through the door as they walk by. I’d definitely stay here again even if we go without the dog.…
After not being able to find a hotel in or around Atlantic City for under $400 on Labor Day weekend, I found this motel 6 about 25 minutes away. The pictures looked decent and I hoped for the best. I was not disappointed. The check in was quick, and the room was clean, modern, and looked just like the pictures. We had a hot tub in the room, a nice big bed, and a little outside terrace. The motel did not offer room amenities such as microwave, alarm clock, or shampoo. But as we only needed a place to sleep, this was no problem. Very happy with this choice, it was quiet and comfortable.
Usually stay here when we visit SP/OC during the off season. Nice, clean and everything you need! Owners are very friendly and accommodating! Walking distance to a few really good restaurants and bars!
