We originally booked in a B/B in Seahouses , on the morning we were to travel up to Northumberland the landlady rang to say she was very sorry she was struggling to fit us in but as we had payed in full over the phone she had found us another accommodation in Bambourgh . We were a little disappointed but as it was a bit late to start looking on line we decided to travel up and check it out . What a fab surprise we got when we arrived at Armstrong House . Yes it is part residential but the room was amazing and was overlooked by the castle . The staff were lovely as was the breakfast . We never saw any of the residents and it was so peaceful . Would not hesitate to go back. If you do choose this B/B I can recommend a drive out to Cragside House where history connects the two houses . Like us I'm sure you will not be disappointed .…
Visiting from Australia, we were wary of staying here; but were so glad that we did. The room was large, clean and bright; as was the bathroom. And was reasonably priced to-boot. Beautiful view over fields from the window. It has tea and coffee making facilities, quality linen and a flat screen TV and fridge in the room. Staff were lovely and very helpful. It was so good that we stayed an extra night, and hope to go back one day. They had a brilliant, individually cooked breakfast included as well. P.S. The view of Bamburgh Castle is exceptional and worth the stay alone. Linda and James McLean - June 2014
