We recently spent a couple of nights at Sandpiper Sorrento. We loved the house and had a fantastic, relaxing time. The location was perfect for us - we were able to walk to most places in the village. The house itself was very stylish and spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy with nice linen. As I love to cook, I was impressed by how well-equipped the kitchen was! My partner and I had drinks on the big deck and were treated to a gorgeous sunset and the sound of the surf. Will definitely be staying there again!
Sandpiper was originally recommended to me by a friend and I have stayed here on several different occasions since. A few times with my partner during winter (Melbourne spring) and a couple in summer with friends. The fireplace and Foxtel helped with the crappy weather I found the host to be very accommodating and knowledgeable of Sorrento and the peninsula she was also very lovely and friendly to speak to . I can not speak highly enough of the little details that go into making us feel right at home. I always feel fantastic and rejuvenated after leaving, can't wait for my next trip away :)
We stayed in the one bed garden suite. On arrival a plate of sweet goodies awaited us which we enjoyed in our lovely sheltered patio. We had a lounge with sofa, satellite TV, DVD, fridge and nice furniture and crockery. The bedroom was tasteful and homely adjoining a large bathroom. It's about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento and close to the back beach. Mid-week we paid $145 AUD a night (you can pay a little more for breakfast as well). Katie is a great host, inviting us in for drinks and plenty of laughs on Australia Day. Highly recommended and Sorrento is a beautiful place.
