This was the 2nd time we stayed at this property. This time from May 1 to May 8. It is located about 25 minutes east of the airport just off the Hana Highway, The cottage is co-located with the main house but is situated so that you feel completely isolated from the main house. The cottage is equipped with 2 bedrooms, 1 accessed from outside, a full kitchen, bath w/shower, living room/dining room, washer/dryer are on the covered back porch. The kitchen is stocked with all the pots/pans and utensils you need for your stay. The bathroom comes stocked with all amenities for your stay. It is located about ½ mile off the Hana Highway, which allows for a later start towards Hana, or leave early and beat all the traffic along the route. Also, close to Haleakala Crater road. There are a couple of markets located in Haiku proper, or just up the road is the Pauwela market. There are good restauarants located in Haiku and Makawao. Cottage is also located close to some great beaches on Maui. Gregg and Danielle were the perfect hosts, ensuring everything was perfect and allowing us to experience this gem of a cottage. For that we are very grateful. This is our go to accommodation while on Maui.…

This is a great cottage located in a gated location with the main house. It is very private and we felt as though we had our own little piece of the Maui paradise. The location is great as it's centrally located and easy to travel all over the Island. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were even pantry items that looked to be left from other guest which made cooking a breeze since we didn't have the buy every little thing for cooking. There is also a washer and dryer on the porch which was very convenient. We wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. This place had it all.

What a great cottage, located away from the hustle and bustle of the resort scene. We stayed here for 7 days in October. Situated about a 25 minute drive east of the airport the cottage is co-located on a large property with the main house, but you feel totally isolated from the main house. The property is home to various fruit trees and other indigenous plants. The cottage has 2 bedrooms (one is accessed from outside), a full kitchen, bath w/shower, living/dining room, laundry is on the back porch. It also comes with wifi. Both the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with all amenities. The only issue we had, while the owners were off island, we lost power briefly, and the wireless router did not reset. So, until the owners returned we were "incommunicado". Which was actually a nice thing. The cottage is located 1/2 mile off the Hana highway, which makes for a shorter drive to Hana. It is also relatively close to Haleakala Crater. The small community of Haiku has several good restaurants as does Makawao, a short drive away. Greg and Danielle were great hosts, ensuring everything was perfect and sharing this gem with us. For that we are grateful. When we return to Maui, this will be where we stay again.…
