We hebben hier één nacht gekampeerd met onze rooftop tent. We hadden geen reservering want dat lukte niet op internet. Telefonisch zijn ze erg slecht bereikbaar. We kwamen aanrijden in de middag en er was nog voldoende plek. Het kostte totaal $70 voor twee personen. Alleen de mooiste plekken met het mooiste uitzicht waren gereserveerd. Het grasveld waar je met rooftop tent of campervan kon staan was behoorlijk modderig en vrijwel direct aan de doorgaande weg (echter is de weg 's nachts erg rustig). De voorzieningen zijn erg basis. Het is een beetje een rommeltje. Douches zijn wat vreemd met één grote ruimte met gordijnen ertussen die alle kanten op waaien. Er is een overdekte ruimte waar je evt. kunt zitten maar die is ook niet erg uitnodigend. De camping ligt heel mooi met uitzicht op de kustlijn. Op zich een prima plek om één nachtje te staan maar $70 is wel erg duur voor wat je krijgt.…

My sister and I forked over the $50 for a tent site at Camp Keane but when we arrived there was no reservation for us at the check in booth (self check-in.) we followed the directions written on the bulletin board above the box that was supposed to contain our reservation info: the flyer said the hosts were not there to greet us and to find our envelope with our name in the box. If we needed to contact them we had to drive down the road to a park where there was reception. We did so and called the number listed which just had a generic outgoing message. We left a message and emailed them to see what we should do and make sure it was ok to camp there even though there was no record of our reservation in the assigned box. We waited a while, called again, heard nothing back, went back, checked the box again, and then decided to take a chance and travel on. When we did hear back from the host, it was the following morning. Given that it was a $50 tent site on a lawn with other tents, we asked if we could have our $$ back since they weren’t prepared and we couldn’t get in touch with anyone. The man who emailed me was very rude throughout our communication. He was defensive and never admitted to doing anything less than a great job on his end. Forget customer service. This is not in line with YMCA values. All of that being said, even if it had all worked out smoothly, there is no way a tentsite at Keane is worth $50.…

Stayed in the Earl Stoner cottage. Will always remember awaking to hearing the birds, feeling the gentle breeze and the wonderful soft morning light over the ocean and coast before sunrise in this little piece of paradise. Very handy location if you're doing the road to Hana as it is about halfway and close to many great places to explore nearby including the Garden of Eden, the Keanae Arboretum, Ching's Pond (great swimming hole!) and the Keanae peninsula. Also played a fun game of dodgeball with the kids in the gymnasium on site. Recommend for those who want to get away from it all in paradise... not necessarily for those who want all the modern amenities of wifi, tv, cell service, dishwasher, etc. Very comfortable cozy serene cottage that helped me de-stress and enjoy the beginning of our Maui vacation. Stayed 2 nights. Did not have AC, got a little warm and humid when we returned in the evening, but cooled down with fans and open windows... perhaps had we closed all the windows up in the morning it may have stayed cooler? No wifi, limited to no cell phone coverage (Verizon), no television... Small cozy cottage with plenty of peaceful serenity and beauty... so make sure you are aware and if that is what you are looking for you will love it. It also has a shared balcony with the neighboring cottage, but no one was staying there at the same time we were. We did have some campers in the yard area, but they didn't bother us at all. Finally, do get gas and buy groceries/snacks/water before heading up the road to Hana as there are very few services nearby. There is an ice machine on property.…
