Die Villa Martina ist eine schöne, alte Pippi-Langstrumpf-Villa. Das ist aber leider auch das einzige positive und das auch nur von weitem… Die Unterkunft ist alt und marode, ungepflegt und schmuddelig. Alles wirkt irgendwie hingebastelt und es wirkt so, als ob nur noch das absolut notwendigste – und dann unprofessionell – gemacht wird. Das Frühstück ist geprägt von in plastikeingepackten Marmeladen, Butter, Broten und das Ganze findet in einem skurrilen und unglaublich geschmacklos eingerichteten Raum statt. Die Unterkunft ist aus meiner Sicht nicht empfehlenswert. Gibt es etwas Positives? Ja: die Innenstadt ist zu Fuß leicht zu erreichen, die Zimmer sind groß.

Served its' purpose

A hassle-free, last-minute booking made by phone, due to lack of accommodation in the area on that date. No credit card was required for reservation. Was met on arrival by a reasonably pleasant woman, who simply pointed out the breakfast room and handed me the key. Room was ok, superficially clean, simple. Unfortunately my room was on the ground floor next to reception counter and breakfast room (I didn't observe a door between lobby and dining area) so every conversation could be heard early in the morning. It served its purpose - a bed for the night. Breadrolls for breakfast. Time to update the decor, gaudy colours.

Terrible!

Layer of dust on the furniture, the toilet without proper door just one meter to the bed (but the room is big enough), greasy plates left after previous guests in the utensil cabinet. All fixtures are very old starting from door lock. No room cleaning. We come back to our room in the evening and found no toilet paper. Of course they gave it but why a guest should ask for it? Breakfast is standard but when something missing (e.g. bread or cheese) you have to ring bell and after some time the owner add 4 !!! slices of cheese. Stay away from the place! Just one positive detail: very good located - just 5 minutes from the city center.

Wir wuerden sicher hier wieder aufenthalten - Definitely would stay again!

Mein Mann und ich machten eine Rundfahrt in Deutschland und Oesterreich und besichtigten Bad Urach. Wir hatten nicht frueher ein Zimmer in diesem Gaestehaus gebucht und waren froh und erleichtert als wir unser Zimmer gesehen haben. Die Toilette und Dusche waren zwar altmodisch aber sauber waren sie. Das Bett war komfortabel und das Zimmer gross. Ein Kuehlschrank, eine Kochplatte/Herd, Kaffeemaschine - wir konnten unsere eigenen Abendessen kochen und haben viel Geld gespart. Ein Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus, das innen und aussen sehr schoen und mit Stil angerichtet ist. Ein Supermarkt wenige Meter entfernt, Wir haben hier gefruehstueckt und alles war gut und es gab viel zu essen. Wir hatten vor, nur eine Nacht zu bleiben, aber es war so gemuetlich dass wir noch eine Nacht blieben. Bitte entschuldigen Sie mein schlechtes Deutsch. I don't know if the owner spoke English as I try always to speak German when I visit. We actually saw the advert for this Guesthouse on a tourist information signboard at the side of the main road. I rang up and was given a room at very short notice. The house looks beautiful and bright on the outside, a car park off the road outside the front of the house. When we went inside, the decor was very stylish and artistic. In fact there were little artistic details everywhere which made the whole place seem welcoming and homely. Our double ensuite room was on the first floor. We've stayed in lots of guesthouses in Germany & Austria and had just a couple of bad experiences, but this room was delightful. It was large and bright overlooking the garden at the back of the house. The toilet and shower was dated but perfectly clean, the bed large and comfortable, there was a table and chairs as well as a small cooking area with 2 hotplates, ample cooking utensils and pots,etc and a fridge. With the supermarket almost just across the road, though on the other side of an adjacent road with its own car park, we were able to cater for ourselves and save money. However, we did have breakfast which was generous, fresh and in lovely surroundings overlooking the conservatory. Again artistic details brightened up the area. If you want a 4 star hotel, don't come here. If you want good value, comfort and beautiful surroundings - the picturesque town centre is a short walk away - don't worry about the poor rating given by one visitor. In June 2013 we could not find anything wrong.…

Nicht noch einmal

Wir haben kurz entschlossen in Bad Urach ein Zimmer gesucht und sind schließlich hier gelandet. Da es schon später war, waren wir froh überhaupt ein Zimmer zu bekommen. Als wir unser Zimmer betraten, dachten wir erst: Hej, das ist ok und für eine Nacht völlig in Ordnung. Allerdings verging uns ganz schnell die Laune, als wir die Toilette und das Badezimmer gesehen haben. Die Toilette war noch mit Resten vom Vorgänger versehen und die Ecken des Badezimmers waren auch nicht so, dass man sagen kann: Das ist ok. (Nicht das wir ein steriles Zimmer erwarten, aber sauber sollte es schon sein und da besonders das Badezimmer.) Wir haben mit dem sehr netten Herrn vom "Empfang" gesprochen, der sich auch entschuldigte und uns einen Rabatt gewährte. Das Frühstück jedoch ließen wir dort ausfallen und aßen in der Stadt. Alles in Allem kann man sagen: nette Leute aber wir werden dort nicht noch einmal übernachten.…
