Greeted nicely in the tackle shop. He explained where to find the field to pitch. Found a nice little corner spot. Site is clean enough. Toilet/shower facilities OK. Lovely view from our tent over the pond. My only grumble is the noise at night from what I assume is a factory. Not noticeable during the day but very noticeable at night. So if you're a light sleeper it's probably not for you. We had a fab weekend though.

So we had booked the 1 holiday static caravan that Hallcroft fisheries offer. To start off with, the communication before arrival was terrible. Of course we were cautious due to the ongoing pandemic but we really wanted to do something special for our wedding anniversary, especially as my partner has worked as a carer throughout lockdown. Emails were sent along with Facebook messages to ask a few important questions and all we received were basic 1 word answers or maybe a sentence if we were lucky. So that didn't give us a good impression but, we were still excited to get away for our special occasion. We arrived at the site mid afternoon as we were told we could check in 'after dinner' so just played it safe. Had to go into the onsite tackle shop and was greeted with a…
