We were meant to stay at this Guest House however, unfortunately due to COVID our area was put into local lockdown a few days before our stay. Although it was paid in advance it was not possible to foresee our area would be on lockdown and be unable to attend. At the first instance I was in contact with the Guest House and sent the government post on our area as proof. I was then told to ring instead of message on Booking.com, I was advised by a woman that she would need more time to make a decision. Very reluctant to come to any compromise I asked for a solution not a full refund, I advised I was unable to return to the area due to lack of holidays and being a key worker. I completely understand that circumstances are unprecedented and that refunds are difficult given the current climate however being completely ignored is unprofessional.I have been in contact with booking.com to open a dispute and the only solution was to book another time but to make a decision within one day which as previously explained was just not possible. I hate to write a review in such a negative tone but to have no response from the guesthouse and have to open a dispute is utterly disappointing. I advise anyone wishing to stay here to choose free cancellation and not pay upfront because despite unforeseen circumstances you will be ignored. …
Spent Sat 11 July at Bank House We went for a drive up the coast and booked it about an hour before arriving. Mrs Brown couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. Room had 2 double beds which were SUPER comfortable. Microwave, cutlery/crockery, tea/coffee, kettle. Great wifi and even better a multi plug socket for our electrics. The view from our room at the top was AMAZING! Loads of local info in the roo m and Mrs Brown is a font of knowledge too. Great pub across the road for pub food. Parking beside the house in a public car park which is also a viewing area we would never have known unless for Mrs Brown. House is beautiful and facilities great. My friend loved all the original art works by the owner. (Sorry might be browne)
We had a great time, booked two rooms, two people in each, for New Years Eve 2019. The accommodation is spacious, exceptionally clean, and very quiet. Great views over the countryside and Tweed, and walks from the doorstep. Saw four otters and two kingfishers on the Tweed - a great way to end 2019! Very welcoming owner. Great meal at Radjhani Spice, just down the road. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely 3 night stay with our Grandson . Lovely hosts . Large spacious room . Nice pub across good meals . Would stop there again . Tea coffee kettle fridge in room . There are plenty places to visit nearby .
