Dear Morser221, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for your recent balanced review. You are correct with our age having opened in the very early 90’s. Although we may be a little dated, it is something we are addressing. We are taking each room one by one, fully completing before moving on to the next to cause minimal disruption to our guests. We are repainting with a brighter, more modern colour before replacing or repairing any old fixtures, fittings or plumbing and laying new carpet. Currently over half the hotel rooms have been carpeted and we now only have 12 rooms left to repaint and update. As part of our ongoing work we are consulting with various electricians about the viability of adding USB sockets to all rooms. We are very proud of our room offering here with all rooms being en-suite with shower above bath and come with soap and shower gel, full courtesy trays, hairdryers, high speed WiFi which is free of charge when booked direct and modern LCD TV’s with full Freeview Channels and in a prime Doncaster location. It is our aim to deliver comfortable, warm and welcoming rooms at an affordable price. Thank you for your comments regarding our staff. All of our training and ethos is built upon Customer Service and it is always encouraging to hear we are on the right track. The French chefs you refer to are trainees currently with us as part of their schooling on Work Experience.
